Someone made a comment on You Tube that this song from "FOR YOUR EYES ONLY" should be played at Roger Moore's funeral. What do you think?

Well as long as we get random background trannies there too!

Never did realize how filthy this song really is...

I love this song! It has a timeless feel to it. Would be nice to play it at chillout party.

Indeed.

Remember back in '81 Ross and Graham in 007 Magazine of the James Bond British Fan Club considered the song remarkably distasteful at the time?

I think their argument was that the lyrics were too suggestive for a Bond film. Clearly, the fact that the film's about an old bloke who shags about and kills people was of less moral importance. B)

I wouldn't be surprised to discover Rog personally chose this song for the film B)

Anyway it's not even the most distasteful thing in the scene - Rog's cardigan is the real shocker!

That song is pure, unadulterated filth. And I love it for that very reason...

You have to wonder where it'd place if included in one of those best of Bond song countdowns they throw on TV everytime a new film comes out.

Just looked at the lyrics. I don't find it suggestive at all. It sounds like directions for working out. B)

I think it was an early attempt to get a "pop" single into a Bond film and subsequently the soundtrack album. It was the start of the 80s when that would became de rigor. But what a ghastly choice of song/artist.

From CBN's lyric page :

http://commanderbond...-all-night.html

"Try to keep it up and ease it in"

"Oooh, oooh, oooh can you feel it moving smooth and slow?"

"Be loving, be gentle, be patient we make it last all night"

That's a workout I can get into B)

Is it just me, or do portions of this song get reused in the main score? I can remember portions of it in the chase scene music, as well as in other parts of the film...

I'll second that motion. As for playing it at Sir Roger's funeral-no.

Come one now, Elizabeth is young and impressionable.

I do like that such a song made it's way into a Bond film. The Moore funeral idea is..a bit odd, to say the least.

Have this song on vinyl. Take it out and play it once in a while. Classic.
