What is your favorite Moneypenny Diaries novel? Also rank the books in the trilogy.

My rankings are as follows:

1. The Moneypenny Diaries: Guardian Angel
2. The Moneypenny Diaries: Secret Servant
3. The Moneypenny Diaries: Final Fling

Interestingly, my rankings come in the publication order. I like Guardian Angel the best largely because it features the most of 007.

However, all are superb books and deserve to be read.

Thanks dark, and I agree, Bond fans--particularly literary Bond fans--need to read The Moneypenny Diaries trilogy.

Tough for me to choose as I'd probably place The Moneypenny Diaries: Secret Servant and The Moneypenny Diaries: Final Fling together in first place. All three books are really worth searching out and reading - none of them disappoint.

Secret Servant is third in my list. Too much emotional girly love stuff! But it's still very good. It's difficult to seperate the other two but I'll go with Final Fling. The last few chapters are great and Guardian Angel had too many notes to read.
The series was excellent and way better than I expected. If you like the Fleming books then it's worth giving these a try.

BTW, original title of FF was "End Game." Samantha wrote that in my copy.

I like that too, but there's something about "Final Fling" that works really well with that beautiful cover.

I have finished the 1st novel of this series and was very impressed by it, it was easily better than the last two continuation novels of the official series. And having started in the second novel I find I am easily more intrigued than before. As somebody said on this site some great adult Bond adventure that has come in under the radar.

Definitely. The Diaries would have deserved much wider recognition. Currently they are a hidden treasure in IFP's output.

Having bought the first two novel in a hardcover edition by John Murray publishers with lovely covers I now have to find the third one with a similar cover, if only for esthetic reasons. Started on the 2nd one and really enjoying the book as well.
