He did an Irish film some years ago that he was awful in. Really bad.

You mean "The Nephew" (for which Brosnan was also a producer)? I didn't find his acting to be that bad, but thought the film itself was far too predictable. Saw it on TVO's "Saturday Night at the Movies" double-bill. You have to be a pretty good film to follow "Secrets & Lies" and not pale by comparison . . . and unfortunately "The Nephew" was not even remotely in the same league.

Having said that, hubby and I just watched "The Ghost Writer" last night, and I thought Brosnan was superb.

Probably Brosnan´s best performances:

THE MATADOR

and

THE GREATEST

I'd say his performance in "The Tailor Of Panama" was a good one as well.

Now I've got over the wave of DC's Bond; I'm begining to picture PB in the role again.

I watched TND last night; and thourghly enjoyed the performance.

I think TND is Brosnan's best performance as Bond.

You´re perfectly right.

Also, I strongly recommend "MARRIED LIFE" which is such a wonderful, underrated film. I even liked "BUTTERFLY ON A WHEEL", mainly because of Brosnan´s acting.

I'd say no.

He may be an agreeable presence, but a light-weight. Remember him in Mrs. Doubtfire?
