In Bond 21, or in a later installment, i'd like to see Bond experiencing a flashback to an earlier period of his life. This could either be an entirely new scene set in the 1960s, or it could be an already established scene from a previous film. For example, he could have a flashback to the death of Tracy, with either the orignal scene from OHMSS inserted in, or it could be refilmed with Brosnan playing the part with another actress. Or they could do it like they did Forest Gump, and have Brosnan inserted in with Diana Rigg.

It doesn't have to be that scene though - it could be any other scene - eg Bond's meeting with Honey etc.

The scene could either play as a dream flashback while he is sleeping, or perhaps while he is being tortured (yet again). Either way, it would be a great way to see a vintage scene recreated.

What do others think?

I dont know, flashbacks have never really been done before. Goldeneye was the closest we ever got to a flashback, but even in that film it wasnt really represented as a flashback.

If it was done to advance the story in some way, then maybe, but I dont want them to just have a flashback in there for the sake of showing some old footage.

Could be a good opportunity to do something with Casino Royale.

well that would be cool, but Cubby was always reluctant to recall 007's past. While many fans of the series would enjouy it, causual audiences may not get it, and the film would suffer. For example, TLD was orginally going to be a Bond that was sent in the past, when he was starting out. However, that would have cost the film almost all its appeal...

What I meant by flashbacks was flashbacks to earlier Bond movies, not necessarily to an undocumented period of Bond's early life. In other words, an opportunity for classic scenes to be redone either with Brosnan and another actor/actress, or Brosnan being inserted Forest Gump-style in place of Sean Connery or Roger Moore while acting along side the likes of Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman or Barbara Bach.

I have seen Spygame this year and you see in this movie flashbacks.
But i think that i must see the movie for the second or third time,he is to Dificult for me.
I hope that Spygame 2 not have Flashbacks in the movie.
What i like in the Bond movie's is the lightness and Speed of the movie's.
I think that's one of the secret's of the bond movie formula.

I guess it would be pretty cool to see, but what would happen if they did this while Pierce was playing Bond and they flashbacked to a Connery or Moore and any other Bond actor how would you show the flashback without showing Bond in the clip for the obvious different actors problem?

Simple. They just film Pierce against a blue or green screen and they digitally remove Sean, Roger, George, or Dalton, and they digitally insert Pierce into the scene. That's what they pay people like Ken Ralston the big bucks for.

Listen to the audio commentary for OHMSS, and they actually talk about the part just after the avalanche sequence where Lazenby is standing at the window as a flashback sequence. So, Bond has done flashbacks before.

Mmm, I don't think they ever wanted to recall previous Bonds, but, of course, the visit to Tracy's grave at the beginning of FYEO is at least a reference to an earlier incarnation. Also, the scenes running through the hourglass in the opening credits for OHMSS sprins to mind. With so many inconsistencies in continuity between the novels, the movies, and the actors, I don't think it would make any sense anyway.

Bond has to remember what his best sexual encounter was. As he sits there in the chair, we see superimposed on the screen images of the past as he rememebers the best sex and the worst sex he has ever had. What he remembers will shock audiences, but will keep them in suspense as we all want to know who Bond thought the best was. No, it was not the girl from Philadelphia.
