Bond girl Gemma Arterton will continue making 'no frills' films

Gemma Arterton has vowed to continue making low budget films despite her roles in blockbusters like Clash of the Titans and James Bond.

Arterton, who stars in kidnap thriller The Disappearance of Alice Creed, said it was "refreshing" to make "no frills" films" after being in Hollywood.

"These are the sort of movies I am proud of and I will continue to make films like this," she said.

Alice Creed, which was shot on the Isle of Man, is out in the UK on 30 April.

The 24-year-old actress will be seen next month alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in action fantasy Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

"I've been very lucky in what I've been offered, and didn't know I'd get Prince of Persia and that kind of movie," Arterton told the BBC.

She said that while she enjoyed making blockbuster movies it was "important" to keep on making films like Alice Creed.

"This is the sort of movie I always imagined I'd end up doing," she said. "This is the sort of movie I'd go to see in the cinema."...

Saw "Pirate Radio" on Blu-ray the other day and didn't even realize until reading this article that Gemma was in it.
Hopefully "The Disappearance of Alice Creed" will get a stateside release, but I doubt it.

I hadn't known that either until recently. What did you think of the film, DLibs?

I'm glad she's considering pørnography. Best use of her talents, and at least she doesn't have to say a word.

I think its amazing, how she manages to make quite a career for herself, whereas Olga is hardly heard of. She was fine in Persia - better then Jake Gyllenhaal, who was a bit bland..

Do pørnography? LOL. A compliment, but at the same time a great insult. :/
