that is), overseas locales (that you've either had the good fortune
to personally travel to, read about, or see photos of) would you love
to see featured in a JB film, that for some reason, hasn't so far been
featured or visited in the series.
Doesn't matter if the actual country has been seen or visited before
in a JB film. If there's a certain site or city in that country,
that you reckon should be featured and would look great in a JB film,
please mention it and say why.

If EON made a movie here, I might even be able to enter a Bond contest or two and actually be eligible to win as a Canadian, and then we might also be able to get real Bond merchandise up here too, not just a calendar!

Anywhere in Australia, but not Sydney because The Sydney Opera House is already used in Die Another Day.

Canada would be another good place to go, he's never been there, and it really is quite beautiful.

Stockholm, Sweden
-This is a beautiful city where Bond would fit in nicely. If I dont remember it wrong, there will open a casino there soon!
Australia
-Anywhere in Australia would be nice. I dont mind Sydney...
Dover, England
-I think the white cliffs which were used in Flemings Moonraker would be a excellent place. Maybe a pre-title sequence?

Yes, yes, yes...my thoughts exactly, freemo. A book set in Africa would also be terrific.Originally posted by freemo
I think we had a thread before about Africa, not the north, not Eygpt like in TSWLM, but in the heart of Africa. I really hope they do that in a future film, and infact set the majortiy of the film there. I prefer having the bulk of the film in one location rather than globetrotting around.

There is certainly some of the most incredible scenary there, without a shadow of a doubt, but I find that premises are more interesting if there is a language/culture element to explore which there isn't and wouldn't be for these two countries.
As to where he could go next, this should perhaps be explored in conjunction with the current method in filming which is to film in the south of England and say he is in South America! I would like to see him go to the middle East, Israel, Yemen etc. But that isn't going to happen realistically. I would like to see him go to Indonesia - one of favourite countries, but that won't happen either.
So if I was to suggest places where we could actually physically see him wander around the locale, then I have no problem with returns to anywhere in Europe. Sounds "done to death", but this will get him out of the studio and Europe is still a melting pot of cultures and languages.

Of places Bond has been in the films, I'd like to see him return to Bangkok and Tokyo.
I'd also suggest:
A scene in central London, Bloomsbury and/or the Chinatown/Leicester Square/Piccadilly Circus theatreland/entertainment district.
Mainland China: Beijing or Shanghai.
Rome.
Lisbon.
Grand Cayman.
Any exotic places the camera could linger on lovingly and make audiences want to go to themselves (all the Brosnan Bonds have let us down really badly in this department). Time to get that good old-fashioned National Geographic travelogue quality back to the Bond films. And I don't care if most of the time it's a studio in the southeast of England, it's all about selling us exciting illusions!!!!!!!!

Is it? This is the first I've heard of a scene in DAD being set in Australia. Please give some more details.

Don't wory Loomis, BC was referring to the Ice Palace's startling resemblance to the famous landmark.

There is a fan Die Another Day poster screeming to be created with a frozen Sydney Harbour Bridge behind the Ice Palace.

I'd also like to see him in Scandinavia. Stockholm would be a good choice or maybe Copenhagen (we know Bond has been into Danish )
Marrakech, very exotic locations there. Lisbon maybe. Prague would be great, but this is off-territory since MI.
Central Africa? Hm, don't know, perhaps something at Victoria falls?
And of all the exotic places around the world, I would like to see Luxembourg City as a Bond location. It has lots of castles, a fortress and old houses, a deep valley in the city center with high bridges crossing it. Hosts several European Comunity institutions. They could do some great shots there ...and it's near my hometown;)

Seattle, Washington. I've got a long list of locales and mayhem for Bond to either instigate or be caught up in.
Ever riden a Harley and chased a train on a monorail track?
or flown a mini-copter through the open car deck of a commuter ferry?
Gardner made some fine mentions of central WA. in Brokenclaw.

I would like to see Nepal, since there seems to be every kind of locale there: mountains, rainforests, etc. Mobile MI6 in a Himalayan monastery?
