I'd wager this is just a tabloid cashing in on the Weisz rumors, but I could be wrong.

Just noticed on imdb they have listed in the cast......above Daniel Craig. Perhaps imdb is taking this rumor seriously?
Or perhaps it's easy to add new information to imdb, even if it's unconfirmed rumour?
Abbie Cornish wasn't in Quantum of Solace, was she?

It's absurdly easy to add credits to the IMDB. For a while, the IMDB listed Al Pacino, Goran Visnjic, and Shilpa Shetty as being in QOS. Currently they're listing someone named "Andree Bernard" as "rumored" for a role in Bond 23, and I've never heard of her. I could add Miley Cyrus at this point and nobody would notice.
I've been TRYING to add Hilary duff to the cast list to see what people would say and so far she hasn't been added.
It's getting frustrating I want to see Hilary Duff in the bond 23 cast list

Apparently, Kate had always barred Mendes from working with the cerebral British beauty (I think I'm seeing a pattern) and as soon as their marriage dissolved, Mendes was on the phone with Weisz, coordinating work schedules and now Kate (pictured today with son Joe in NYC) is furious.
"Rachel has always been persona non grata in the Winslet-Mendes household," a source said. "Kate went ballistic when she heard that Sam wanted to hire her."
Meanwhile, Rachel has publicly stated she'd love to work on the film. Kate, I don't blame you: nothing burns like seeing the ex direct an old frame as a bikini-clad Bond Girl. Not that any of us know what that's like, but hey".
What do you think?

From celebuzz.com:
"It seems all the jealousies are rising to the surface as Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes' marriage falls apart. Next on Kate's-list is Rachel Weisz, whom Mendes dated before marrying Winslet. Now reported to be helming the new James Bond movie, Mendes wants to cast Weisz and Kate is less than thrilled.

This is the Daily Mail piece and is recycled rubbish. Please see this thread.

LAST time we saw him on a Melbourne stage, he ruled a kingdom.
Next month, he's back on the boards as a tramp.
But whether he's playing King Lear or Estragon in Waiting for Godot, Sir Ian McKellen is mesmerising.
The 71-year-old British theatre knight draws on stagecraft acquired over half a century so "the part inhabits you and you inhabit it. A very mysterious process".
On the eve of an Australian tour of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, McKellen talks about ghosts, Lord of the Rings and ... James Bond.
Is is true you have just read the title role in a radio version of Ian Fleming's Goldfinger?
Yes. I've always wanted to be a Bond villain. Don't think I was good as the original (played by Gert Frobe), I'm afraid.
Perhaps we will see you one day plotting the demise of Daniel Craig's 007 ...
Be nice, wouldn't it. I know (Bond movie producer) Barbara Broccoli quite well and I'm always dropping hints.
Rest of interview here:

- Would be great to see Ian McKellen as a villain. Could see him with a shaved head for Blofeld.

I agree, it would be a casting coup for the Bond films if Ian McKellen was signed to play the villain at some point. I think he's being self deprecating in the interview concerning his performance as Goldfinger on the radio. Having heard him, I thought he was very good. I've also recently watched a trailer for the remake of "The Prisoner", in which he plays "Number 2" throughout. He looked suitably villainous in that. I say, get him on board.

But absolutely no mention of any forthcoming involvement in Bond 23.
Still the subject of cyber-space rumour mills, rather than anything in hard copy, I suppose.

I have read an article today in the Sunday Times "Culture" magazine supplement about the subject of this thread. All very interesting, including the obligatory reference to Sam Mendes, and a nice photograph of Rachel Weisz on the magazine front cover.

It was confirmed a hoax.

And I had a thought today that EON may be reluctant to use Maria Freudenstein as a villain in order to dodge possible perceptions of antisemitism. Just a thought.

I just read a report this morning that Weisz was tapped to star in a biopic of Jackie Kennedy. Obviously, no mention of a Bond role.

Yes it does. Socratic Seminar in English class much? I worry about you, man. However, discussion - by its very nature - needs more than one opinion to be as such.
No it doesn't.

And your prayer was fail. When will you stop posting things that fail and make me laugh at you with malice?
Zorin, you're fine by me.

"The 23rd BOND movie should, if all had gone to the original plan, be shooting around about now, helmed by former husband of Kate Winslet, Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig as James Bond alongside Rachel Weisz and Dame Judi Dench. "

I said it before i'll say it now Weisz as a villain is fine and i wouldn't even mind the head of quantum being a woman but from going to not really knowing anything about Quantum after 2 films to suddenly destroying it in bond 23 or at the very least meeting the head is a bit much and a huge mistake. I'd prefer to see Weisz as a mid level manager. and the head to be introduced in bond 24.

Yeah, she was in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS too playing Marian Darbot. I think that one came out in 1961 when Ryan Flemming died.I read the other day that Fiona Fullerton played a British agent in Roger Moore' 1987 Bond film A View to Kill so as this was published it must be FACT. I am not prepared to have my mind contemplate any other possibility lest it explode.

oh i'm aure it is BS but i just find it interesting it's a rumor that isn't dead yetHow people are unable to detect reheated BS on BS sites is quite staggering. You only have to look at the webpage's visual content to determine how the BS levels are through the roof. And - as I have said before - if people thinking that anyone discussing such names and start dates equals some truth somewhere then I really despair.

So, you think it has some truth in it - based on the fact some nobody reports nothing on a nothing website? I do hope you have never done jury service, my friend (no offence intended either).oh i'm aure it is BS but i just find it interesting it's a rumor that isn't dead yet
