Okay, I somehow got a shocking new idea for a Bond movie that would also be tied in with Bond's past.
Basically, it has been revealed by Ian Flemming in You Only Live Twice, and alluded to at least once in the films as well, that Bond's parents were killed when he was eleven in a climbing accident in the Swiss Alps, leaving the young Bond an orphan to be raised by his aunt.
But what if it wasn't a climbing accident?
The idea for this arguably sprung up from the fact that Bond's father, Andrew Bond, was an executive for the armaments firm, Vickers. So maybe this is how things played out...
Suppose Bond's father, in the course of his duties as an 'arms trader' came across some sort of international arms conspiracy and needed to be silenced. Hence he and his wife are murdered in what appears to be a mere climbing accident. And now, decades later, the assassin, or maybe the guy who ordered the hit, has become the head of this major organisation involved in pretty much the same global arms conspiracy that is soon to reach its fruition. And better yet, MI6 has conducted research into the killings of the Bonds and M is aware that Bonds parents were murdered but doesnt share this info with 007 so that he doesnt go off on another revenge spree. But Bond finds out somehow anyway (maybe he recognises the villain as being a 'business associate' of his father) and has to deal not only with confronting his parents killer but M's 'betrayal' as well.
Sound interesting?
