She made her motion picture debut with an uncredited part in Diamonds Are Forever (1971).
She was? Was she one of Shady Tree's "Acorns" maybe?

Yep. She is. Always thought it was her. Glad it has been verified. Sort of.Valerie Perrine (of Superman fame) is going to be at the next Hollywood Collectors Show, and in her profile it says...

Miss Black co-starred in Easy Rider in 1969 so I doubt she'd be doing bit parts in 1971. Of course, she may have had a very bad agent.Karen Black perhaps?

That was five years later. In 1970, Black was in Five Easy Pieces, probably her best film.Well she was working as an air hostess in 1970.Miss Black co-starred in Easy Rider in 1969 so I doubt she'd be doing bit parts in 1971. Of course, she may have had a very bad agent.Karen Black perhaps?

Ah, yes...on pages 22-23 of OO7 #52 (DAF cover) it says the Acorns where played by Pat Gill and Judy Ritsko. Gill is also the topless girl in the hat Bond talks to backstage. A cover story in a 1971 Vegas mag confirms this. So VP was not an Acorn. My bad. (Are we still using that expression?)Valerie Perrine did NOT appear in Diamonds Are Forever. The full story and the truth behind other innaccuracies still peddled about the film can be read in the article 'Stop Getting Bond Wrong!' in the latest issue of 007 MAGAZINE now available.

Interesting. I had heard conflicting stories that Valerie Perrine was an Acorn and also that she was one of the dancers on one of the casino stages. Another bit I had heard was that one of the Acorns was a pre-Elvira Cassandra Peterson. It's nice to finally know for sure.Ah, yes...on pages 22-23 of OO7 #52 (DAF cover) it says the Acorns where played by Pat Gill and Judy Ritsko.
