I sincerely doubt that DA can pull out any stops, he has shown with CR & QoS how little composing strength he posses.
Agreed there. David Arnold's scores are like fast switch muscle fibres. Good for short bursts, but little to no stamina. He simply can't handle the long soundtracks he aims for, without frequently resorting to padding and clumsy underscore.
He should think about allowing more silence in the next Bond film, and discuss the idea with Sam Mendes. Have the music enter and leave only at points that genuinely require its presence, and make sure it isn't saying exactly the same thing as the performances and sound effects department. A unique element.
Try and get a 45 minute running time for the score - as crazy as that may sound in this day and age.
