What style do you prefer the next titel song to be in?

In the Craig era we had a straight forward rock song with YKMN and a soul-rock-mix (for lack of a better term) with AWTD.
Personally, I would love to have a classic ballad for Bond 23, in the mold of "Moonraker", "Diamonds are forever" or "You only live twice".
What do you think?
Edit: I´m awfully sorry for the spelling mistake in the thread header - typing too fast. Can the mods correct this?

It has to work in the first place for that statement to hold true
Haha, you didn't like it then?

Not really. Honestly, I prefered Another Way to Die, and I'm not all that big a fan of that.

Fair enough, each to their own. I'd be open to maybe an instrumental Bond theme, as it's been 40 years since we last had that pleasure. Of course it all depends on what Arnold can do.

Cutty Ranks would be good:
And then there's my all-time favourite, Barrington Levy:
No doubt Eon will play it safe as usual, though.

A Bond title song electro-pop style is what I am hoping for.
Hmm, why do I immediately think of DAD...

Not really my cup of tea but I could see something like that working.

Let's have a woman with a strong voice, like Shirley Bassey had in her theme tunes.

No, no. You've misunderstood what type of genre I was reffering to. I'm talking Depeche ModeA Bond title song electro-pop style is what I am hoping for.

I always thought that the title songs for the Craig series should become more graceful as the the character of Bond became more sophisticated and polished. YKMN was a perfect song for the introduction of Bond. It was a hard, impulsive song that fit the "blunt instrument" persona of a fledgling 00. AWTD is a song that I still can't decide if I like or not but it does contain a smoothness and edginess that fits the character in that film. It is a song that is very off balance and uncomfortable, as is Bond following the death of Vesper. For the next film, I'm hoping to see a more mature, stylish Bond, more women, more martinis. A smooth, sexy, jazz sound sounds good to me. But, attempting a straight forward ballad is a tricky proposition. If it works it's great. If it doesn't it can comes off as sappy.
I actually quite agree with this. Although the smooth, sexy jazz sound I would save for Bond24- make the theme song for Bond23 somewhere between a hard rock, and a smooth jazz sound- might be a good place for an instrumental theme.

By the way, I love both YKMN and AWTD. In fact, I love most of the Bond themes and there isn't a single one that I hate.
I am sure they will pick a good one again....

How about MOVITS!, the Swedish rap/hip-hop group?
Much as I've fallen in love with MOVITS! since their being on Colbert, they just don't feel right for Bond to me. Not a Daniel Craig film anyway.
