Well,it was the begining of the Richie era so of course it's my favorite. But i also think it's in their top three albums along with the first album & Rocket to Russia. My second favorite album would be Pleasant Dreams.

You might get a feel good feel from the band & it's music but you'd never guess as much with both Joey & Dee Dee having mental problems as well as when Johnny stole & married Joey's girlfriend.

End Of The Century is a must see for any Ramones fan.

Yeah, I've seen it twice, a great, highly entertaining documentary. It made me appreciate their music even more, knowing of some of the struggles behind getting it made at all.

May i also suggest It's Alive?
It's a two disc dvd featuring tv & concert performances of them through out their entire 22 years. It's very cool to see some of the old tv shows & seeing them perform in concert.Especially seeing how the line up of the band changed several times over the years.

From Tommy to Marky,Marky to Richie,Richie back to Marky
Dee Dee to CJ...

I was going to buy that one, but never got around to it. By now, I had forgotten it exists. Need to get my hands on a copy, will check the music section of my library.

I do have the Ramones Raw DVD, where you get some good live performances (though the sound is quite bad sometimes).

Not too high on Ramones Raw.
I mean i like it but it's very limited to what it covers.
Mostly late 80's-early 90's during Marky's second stint in the band.Which makes sense since he provided most of the footage for Ramones Raw.

This is the way to go!

Cruiserweight (and others), have you heard the people who claim that the Ramones aren't "punk" (and the even more ridiculous logic)?

That's kind of absurd, but to be fair, they do have some wonderful pop songs that I'm not sure if could be described as "punk".

But the Ramones is punk through and through.

Some people make that claim not because their music, but because of Johnny's political views.
