I found these Die Another Day details in the back of the book "James Bond: The Legacy" by John Cork and Bruce Scivally.

I hope that they clear up some rumors.

[Spoiler Warning]

Die Another Day - 2002

Produced by Michael G. Wilson & Barbara Broccoli
Directed by Lee Tamahori
Screenplay by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade
James Bond played by Pirerce Brosnan

The Villains:

Colonel Tan-Gun Moon (Will Yun Lee) - son of General Moon, educated at Oxford and Harvard, involved with illegal arms smuggling for African conflict diamonds

Sir Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) - flamboyantly wealthy British emigre diamond baron, official bio lists him as an orphan who went from working in the diamond mines of Argentina to controlling a huge diamond mine in Iceland, a champion fencer with a supposed interest in ecological issues, developer of the Icarus space programme

Sub-Villains:

Zao (Rick Yune) - North Korean collaborator of Colonel Moon, betrayed by Bond, and subsequently scarred with diamond shrapnel

Dr. Alvarez (Simon Andreu) - leading researcher in gene therapy, runs a clinic where he purportedly helps Cuban leaders extend their life expectancy

Mister Kil (Lawrence Makoare) - security officer working for Graves

Vladimir Popov (Michael Gorevoy) - technical genius behind the Icarus satellite

Villain's Plot:

Gustav Graves plans to use the Icarus satillite weapon to destroy the minefield in the Korean Demilitarized Zone, allowing for the takeover of South Korea and the uniting of Korrea, Japan and China into a new, unstoppable superpower

Bond Women:

Ginacinta 'Jinx' Jordan (Halle Berry) - beautiful African-American NSA agent

Miranda Frost (Rosamund Pike) - Havard-educated publicist for Gustav Graves, fencing gold medal winner at the Sydney Olympics, working undercover for MI6

Bond's Allies:

General Moon (Kenneth Tsang) - North Korean General with hopes of peaceful relations between North and South Korea, father of Colonel Moon

Falco (Michael Madsen) - NSA agent who believes Bond confessed secrets to North Korean officials under torture

Mr. Chang (Ho Yi) - Hong Kong hotel manager actually working for Chinese Intelligence

Raoul (Emilio Echevarria) - Cuban sleeper agent working for MI6 in Havana

Verity (Madonna) - fencing coach at Blades

Bond's Gadgets:

Surfboard with concealed weapons; combat knife with GPS beacon device; watch which emits laser beam cutter; Aston Martin V12 Vanquish gadget car; ultra high frequency single-digit sonic agitator ring; Switchblade personal jet glider

Locations:

Pukch'Ong Coast, North Korea; Korean DMZ; Hong Kong; Havana, Sierra De Los Organos, Isla Organos, Cuba; London; Vatnajokull, Iceland

"

Two things that I would like to note here are that both Jinx and Miranda Frost are both listed as Bond Women, with niether of them listed as a villan.

And secondly I think the agitator ring is the gadget Bond uses in the trailer.

Lawrence Makoare!!

he's the one that Bond is fighting in the lazer scene I'm sure of it!
I remember at the beginning of the year when we heard of his appearance in DAD and I remember the photos.

Thanks for the info, Rob G! I know this spoils about what character plays what role, but at least this clears up some questions I had in mind. Oh well. I like all those allies that Bond has on his side. M must not really trust Bond too much. Perhaps parts of the script are taken from the original TMWTGG as well (the concept of Bond turning a traitor)?

The agitator ring breaks glass (as demonstrated by Q) or breaks ice (as used by Bond whilst underwater).
I thought it was some sort of handheld device but it seems so simple that it WOULD be a ring. I can't believe I didn't think of that first.
