Of course it does. For the past ten years or more the rumour mill has got it wrong regarding the theme tune performers, with one exception - Madonna and Die Another Day. At a guess, the Bond 23 theme will be performed by someone or some group that none of the rumour mongers have even considered.

Sir Elton John is delighted his new pal LADY GAGA is recording the next James Bond song and he can't wait to sing with the wacky star.

The Rocket Man, 63, said: "I'm really pleased that Lady Gaga is up for the theme tune. She's fantastic and it would be amazing to do a duet."

Just as long as it's a cover of one of her hits and not his!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the actual "incident" (and as you'll see, it's hardly worthy of the term) was that Craig was out for dinner with friends, one of whom is known to be openly gay. In the typical who-cares-if-it's-true-so-long-as-it-sells-papers, hack-and-slack style of tabloids, Craig's friends were dropped from the story until it was just him and the gay friend. It never would have been written if Craig hadn't (allegedly) said that he'd like Bond to seduce a man in one of the films.

Kevin Spacey has been on the future Bond villain "usual suspects" list for ages. With Sam Mendes as 23's putative director, perhaps he'll finally be cast. I can't see Daniel Craig or, especially, Dame Judi Dench being opposed to it. Provided he fits the role as written, I can't see any reason why Kevin Spacey couldn't be Bond's opponent in 23, or a future Bond film.

I have been on the Spacey should be a bond villain since re watching the usual Suspects a few months back. He'd Be a cool villain and work extremely well against Craig i feel. Let's hope it happens.

hopefully he will come to his senses and do bond 23 instead. i mean if even half the rumors are to be believed Sam Michael Barbra Peter Robert and Neal all have a very clear mind about bond 23.

and the possible inclusion of spacey as a bond villian is something to be hoped for.

I'm not so sure that he couldn't do both at this point. Even if there's a deal done with MGM and Spyglass sometime in the foreseeable future, there's still going to be some legalities to hammer out and I'm sure that EON's going to have some things to straighten out between them and the new "MGM" to see that this never happens to them again. All of that is going to take time. I would imagine that it's possible that Mendes could helm another film while the wait to get BOND 23 underway continues. Maybe he'll leave BOND 23 to pursue that series, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Mendes has the time to do both.

I remember hearing that Mendes' interest is not as much in Bond as in having a commercial hit, and considering that heaven only knows when Bond 23 will get off the ground, and this new series may get started first, it makes a certain amount of sense.

Given that there's no word on Bond 23's schedule, it would be unsurprising for someone attached to jump ship for available work. We can't expect folks to just sit around, kicking their heels, waiting for something to happen.
