Hey, guys! I havn't been around a-while (been spending a lot of time on AJB - sorry!) however, I just posted my revised version of THE STEEL WOLF, a short story I submitted on AJB over Xmas. Chiefly, I revised it because I got a lot of criticism over the ending (the original was too swift apparently) so I spent a bit of time tarting it up.
I'm away for a week, but if you have any comments, I'd appreciate the feedback as I'm currently working on a 5-story collection for viewing in the early summer, and I'd like to get it right this time!
Nice to see the standard of stuff on CBN hasn't dimmed! ))

Hi Chrisno1!
I finally read Steel Wolf, and I enjoyed it: the Czech setting was suitably rendeted, the interlope milieu had something of flemingian political un-correctness, and I enjoyed the irony of Bond bashing the amateurism of his partners, while doing a rather sloppy job himself.
One question: why does Bond refuse to shake Laska's hand at the end of their first encounter?

Gosh. Amazed to see this one ressurrected.
It's a bit rough around the edges but I'm glad you enjoyed it, MkB.
I think my writing has moved on immeasurably since then.
And you know, I have absolutley no idea why Bond doesn't shake Laska's hand! I think I was trying to suggest he considers the poor man such an amateur that he doesn't deserve one, but off the cuff, I can't honestly remember.

Well, that's the thing with the fanfic section... not immune from some blasts from the past
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to check one of your more recent stories.
