I don't know if anyone's asked this question before. I'm doing a Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace double feature. In Casino Royale, the word "Ellipsis" keeps coming up. I know that an ellipsis is a series of dots like this..... But how does that apply to Royale? And does it relate to Quantum?

It's the password to the security lock at the Miami airport; it was given to Mollaka first, as he was the original planned bomber, but after his death, it was given to Carlos by Dimitrios. Bond figures it out when he's right at the door to the area and punches it in.

What I want to know is, why THAT word was used, oh that's what you asked isn't it? B)
Well maybe the defintion might help...
Ellipsis (plural ellipses; from the Greek: ἔλλειψις, élleipsis, "omission") is a term in printing and writing that refers to a mark or series of marks that usually indicate an intentional omission of a word or a phrase from the original text. An ellipsis can also be used to indicate a pause in speech, an unfinished thought or, at the end of a sentence, a trailing off into silence.................

The script originally had Solange replying to Bond's questions by saying that she had only heard of 'ellipsis' in that context. I guess it was cut as it was felt that the audience didn't really need a language lesson in the middle of an action movie.

Is that right or sarcasm?...sorry...

Then I apologize for inserting a language lesson in the middle of this action movie..............
