Moneypenny should be average looking at best, so all this kelly brook and rachel weiz casting needs to stop.

Totally agree. Moneypenny should never be a BOND BABE; she's an attractive woman without doubt but she can't be too hot.

Lois Maxwell and Sam Bond were both perfect casting; they both exude a naughty, playful side.

Lois was excellent in the first 6 Bond films, and had great chemistry with Connery and Lazenby (it appeared) but as she moved into middle-age with Roger Moore, she wisely adjusted her performance and became more mum-like.

Sam Bond was perfect for Brosnan's Bond; and wisely she said she'd step away from the role when Brosnan left. Which is sort of what happened.

It'll be very interesting to see how they cast against Craig and the take they put on the new Moneypenny.

Yes, hence my suggestion of Liz White. Moneypenny should be the type of girl you could fall in love with and marry, not the type that prepube boys would hang wall posters of.

If there is a new Moneypenny, it'll be a barely known actress with a couple of BBC credits,

As it darn well should be!!

I had an Olivia Coleman feeling myself, and add to the list:

Dolly Wells
Isy Suttie
Sophie Winkleman

(Can you tell I am a fan) B)

The major problem with suggestions such as Kelly Brook (although admittedly a lovely girl) is a distinct lack of acting ability.

sorry but Gemma and Olga were better were they? B)

 Um, absolutely. More than happy to reconsider though. Is there anything you can recommend as an indicator of Kelly Brook's acting prowess, so I can change my mind?

Rachel Weisz is attractive but not in an over-the-top supermodel way, so I reckon she would be ok. Wouldn't be my top preference though.

Olivia Colman would be superb. Issy Suttie would be interesting. Though she is absolutely tiny in the flesh.

And another one... Jessica Hynes.

With David Mitchell as 'Q' and Cheryl Campbell as the new 'M'.

Might as well bung Rachel Blanchard into the 'potential Moneypenny's' mix, as well.

I hate fanboy crossover as much as the next purist fanboy, but... Q providing Bond with a broom and Q's lab being relocated to JLB credit... B)

Zorin,

I had no idea Isy Suttie is so tiny! She definitely has potential for Moneypenny or at least a Dr Who sidekick. Suttie would be interesting to watch interacting with Craig!:

Joanna Neary would be a viable candidate too. She is the blank canvas the character needs.

The thing with Rachel Weiz is, I personally think she's gorgeous, leading lady material and leading lady material isn't what I feel moneypenny needs to yield. I think we should be looking at actresses who look nice but not to the level where you have to do a double take or start getting hot under the collar for.....and that being said, I can't think of anyone just yet lol.

"lol"...? Why do people put that in a sentence when it is neither amusing or something that made the writer laugh out loud...?

MONEYPENNY will never be a tits & B) character so there is no point casting someone like that. That said however, good professional actresses can play MONEYPENNY whether someone does a double take at their alleged beauty or not.

I think Rachel is lovely but I think an "unknown" actress wil land it.
As for the T & A angle of Moneypenny, I agree but let's hope whoever gets it, isn't too young.

To add I found this and thought some of you might likey...
