Adding in the upcoming AudioGo audiobooks as listed on the main site:

Casino Royale read by Dan Stevens
Live and Let Die read by Rory Kinnear
Moonraker read by Bill Nighy
Diamonds Are Forever read by Damian Lewis
From Russia with Love read by Toby Stephens
Dr. No read by Hugh Quarshie
Goldfinger read by Hugh Bonneville
Thunderball read by Jason Isaacs
The Spy Who Loved Me read by Rosamund Pike
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service read by David Tennant
You Only Live Twice read by Martin Jarvis
The Man With the Golden Gun read by Kenneth Branagh

Looking forward to these (particularly Moonraker, OHMSS & YOLT). Unfortunately, given the way the AudioGo website acts, these may be limited to the UK only, like the David Rintoul readings.

Also, found another German release, James Bond in 60 Minuten by Eduard Habsburg read by Andreas Wilde.

http://www.amazon.de...9944901&sr=1-10

It's due out in October.

Nameless BBC/AudioGo person on facebook confirms the new "celebrity" audiobooks are for the UK only. (Though they will reassess them in 2013.)

Disappointing stuff. AudioGo do lovely readings of Dr Who novels complete with music and sound effects; these are just plain old readings. I was hoping they'd jazz 'em up a bit. We have plenty of audiobook versions already.

It's a good choice of actors, it's a bit weird they've missed out For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy.

I'm listening to 'For Special Services'. Takes some getting used to after Vance's masterful readings, especially given the frequent outside noises- (coughs, paper shuffling, words either mispronounced - Bayeau- or tripped over) but Jonathan Oliver has a strong, rough voice that is employed with great effect.

Missed a large number of Bond related radio programs recently.  Here's a summary:

"Seven Wonders of Bond" hosted by Chris Evans, BBC Radio 4 – 2012

"The Blagger's Guide to James Bond", BBC Radio 2 – 2012

"Bond Songs are Forever" hosted by Don Black, BBC Radio 2 – 2012

Radio Wales Arts Show, "Q - The Desmond Llewelyn Story" hosted by Roger Moore, BBC Radio Wales - 2012

Kermode & Mayo's Film Review; "A James Bond Special", BBC Radio 5 - 2012

The Radio Wales program is only available for a couple more days:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b01nlzll

Kermode & Mayo has a downloadable archive:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...ies/kermode/all

The rest are no longer available

Just spotted the fact that the Germen re-issues of the Fleming books are also getting the audio treatment.  The first three books (Casino Royale, Leben und sterben lassen and Moonraker) are already available for download from amazon.de.

In March, those three books, as well as Diamantenfieber and Liebesgrüße aus Moskau are set for release on audio CD.  All books are read by Oliver Siebek.

Oh, and Sir Roger Moore's book, Bond on Bond, also is being released unabridged, read by the author.

Monday, I started listening to "For Special Services" read by Jonathan Oliver.  I stopped this morning.  I couldn't take any more of the poor editing, coughing, page rattling, lip smacking, and long and unnecessary pauses.

Guess I'll be trying to get a copy of the British release of Jeremey Northam's reading.  He did a super job with "License Renewed."

The German edition of "Solo", translated by Patricia Klobusiczky will be read by Dietmar Wunder, who previously read the German version of "Carte Blanche".

Dominic West (who was rumored to be in the running for the role of James Bond at one point) will be reading "Solo" by William Boyd for Cornerstone Publishing in the UK.  No word if there will be a different reader in the US, as there was for "Devil May Cry" or the same reader, as it was for "Carte Blanche".

The upcoming release of "Octopussy and The Living Daylights" (read by Tom Hiddleston) as part of AudioGo's '007 Reloaded' project will include "007 in New York" read by Lucy Fleming.

Also, all short stories from both "For Your Eyes Only" and "Octopussy..." will be available individually as digital downloads.

Just a quick post to note that William Boyd's "Solo" will be the "Book at Bedtime" on BBC Radio 4 beginning today, September 30th.  The abridged production will be read by Peterson Joseph and will conclude on October 11.

You'd think I would have found all the foreign editions by now, but I just learned of a Swedish audiobook of Devil May Care from Bonnier Audio.  It is called I djävulens tjänst ("In the Devil's Service"), was translated by Jan Malmsjö and is read by Krister Henriksson.

Being James Bond written and read by Joseph Darlington is available from Audible.  No CD as far as I can tell.

Also, confirming that the AudioGo short stories currently available individually are only available in this form digitally.  With AudioGo down for the count, I only know of Audible as an outlet for these.

Finally, just marking in this thread the upcoming (eventually) audio drama of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", once again starring Toby Stephens and once again showing EON's arrogance in following their original intended film sequence, rather than trying to build any kind of logical continuity for the audios by following the book order.

I've been following this thread for a while because I enjoy listening to the Bond novels on Audio book.  Yesterday I queried "Zero Minus Ten audiobook" and found that Brilliance Audio will be releasing all (I think) the Benson Bond novels in audio books this coming December.  Simon Vance is the narrator and all versions are unabridged.  Here is the link to the Brilliance Audio page:

https://www.brillian...3UjcXUvJHRzdHI=

2 December 2014:  Zero Minus Ten and Tomorrow Never Dies (novelization)

16 December 2014:  The Facts of Death and The World is Not Enough (novelization)

23 December 2014:  High Time to Kill and Doubleshot

30 December 2014:  Never Dream of Dying and the Man with the Red Tattoo

Some of these have already been released.  I have three of them (High Time to Kill, Never Dream of Dying and the Man with Red Tattoo) on MP3 CD, all narrated by Vance.  Those were released by Blackstone Audio in 2000, 2004, and 2002, respectively.  Perhaps there is a rights issue, as Brilliance Audio is now releasing them.  Also, I have the cassette versions of the two novelizations, both narrated by John Kenneth.  I view Vance as the quintessential Bond narrator, so I am looking forward to getting the versions with him that i don't already have.

Thanks for the info, LLana!  They do seem to show almost all Benson books, missing only "Die Another Day", which they have previously released read by Michael Page and "The James Bond Bedside Companion", available exclusively from audible.  "Die Another Day" is available read by Vance (though abridged) from Blackstone through downpour.com.  The other three you mention are, indeed, the only ones that have been confirmed to be available commercially previously, though I have heard that Hear A Book released "Zero Minus Ten" (I have yet to see a copy though).

I suspect these are still coming through Blackstone (perhaps subcontracted to produce them) because Vance works exclusively with them and the older titles are still available through downpour.  It will continue Vance's lead as the most prolific Bond reader (just ahead of David Rintoul).

I will try and contact Blackstone to see what they say.

Can you please confirm a 2000 copyright on "High Time"?  My copy says 2002.

Darth, thanks for the response.  I just took a look at the box/sleeve for the High Time MP3 CD that I have and it looks like the production is 2000 by Blackstone Audio, with the copyright 1999 Glidrose Productions Ltd.  I think it was actually published sometime in 2003.  For Never Dream, the MP3 CD box shows a Blackstone Audio production date of 2004 and a 2001 copyright (Glidrose, of course).  Red Tattoo MP3 CD box shows 2002 Blackstone Audio production and 2002 Glidrose copyright.  Since Glidrose is now IFP, I imagine the copyright will update for the upcoming versions Brilliance is releasing.

Also, I see that the 007 reloaded productions are being released in the U.S. tomorrow.  In fact, audible.com has most of the already available to U.S. customers as of August 27th.  Downpour is set to release them on Labor Day (tomorrow) and I imagine iTunes will do the same.  These are the audio-go productions from last autumn and it looks like they will have the same covers are the amazon (U.S.) ebooks - those odd Thomas and Mercer designs.

Editing to remove a response that was already covered.

The release of these new readings in the US is a great relief.  I already have the original AudioGo versions in the first box set, but I despaired for the others.  The two short story collections had barely been out a few months when AudioGo went belly up.

Another question: does your MP3CD refer to the reader as "Simon Vance" or "Robert Whitfield"?  2000 seems to be the point where he stopped using the pseudonym and editing the recording to change "Robert Whitfield" to "Simon Vance" could explain the shifting copyright.

Darth, sorry for the late response to your most recent query.  The MP3 CD boxes state as follows:

 - High Time to Kill:  narrator listed as Simon Vance.  Production 2000 by Blackstone Audio, Inc.

 - Never Dream of Dying:  narrator listed as Simon Vance.  Production 2004 by Blackstone Audiobooks

 - The Man with the Red Tattoo:  narrator listed as Robert Whitfield.  Production 2002 by Blackstone Audio, Inc.

The earliest and latest use Vance's real name for the reader, while the middle one (2002) uses his pseudonym.  I have other productions where he uses Whitfield as well.

For those of you who missed it back in September, the James Bond episode of "The Reunion" is still available on BBC Radio 4:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b04g6zg8

It deals mostly with the Roger Moore era and features Moore, Michael G Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, John Glen, Britt Eckland and, in what must have been one of his last (if not *the* last) Bond pieces, Richard Kiel.

Also, Roger Moore on Desert Island Discs:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...fe4b20#p009mtyb

And, of course, Ian Fleming's "Thrilling Cities" is being featured, as well:

http://www.bbc.co.uk...rammes/b04lx1vq

It's three episodes and they've done Hong Kong, with Tokyo coming up next.  No mention of what will be the third episode.

Brilliance Audio is now showing "Die Another Day" being released on January 27, 2015 unabridged read by Simon Vance.  This title has previously been released by Brilliance unabridged read by Michael Page and by Blackstone abridged read by Vance (as well as a UK promo cassette heavily abridged and read by Samantha Bond).
