UK people just get the french blu disc, it's also uncut just like the australian one.
In fact, I fail to understand how any self respecting 007 fan would buy CR UK pressing of DVD or BR ...
Just go to amazon.fr and get the uncut version with english language and subs and all. Give the finger to the BBFC !
Who's gonna wait for the next release?(DVD/ Blu Ray)

I bought the UK pressing of CR, but I don't respect myself, as a 007 fan or anything else. Is that allowed?

Bought QOS on DVD at Amazon for under £7. This will see me through.
Will buy the super-duper version on Blu-ray when it arrives - providing it sounds like it's going to be worth it. I tend to rent Blu-rays as the prices are still far too expensive. This said I see you can get the admittedly "Cut" UK Deluxe version of Casino Royale on Blu-ray for £7.98 - which is getting more like the right price-bracket.

I've given-up & just accepted there will be double or triple dips (or Terminator 2 style dips ) of movies. Bond is the only franchise I will double dip on. I don't see a reason not to be able to enjoy the latest Bond flick at home whenever I want. If cash is an issue, give it another week & you'll start finding used copies of Quantum of Solace out there you can get for even less.

I was going to buy the first release when I read this review about it MI6 Review, which filled me with questionmarks! The extras suck in this release!
After that I changed my mind about it and I think I'll wait for the deluxe edition!
Does anyone have a clue when it'll be released?

You can get Quantum of Solace anywhere for around £15 or less. I don't see why people on here are so determined to wait for a release 2 years away.
It doesn't cost that much. I could see why if it was, let's say. the last David Tennant Doctor Who specials, which would be packaged in a boxset at a later date. But it's a movie, which really isn't that expensive to buy.

Maybe you're right. I'll have a look at the prices here and I'll finally decide.

I did the same thing I did with "Casino Royale": bought the single disc now (because it's on sale all over the place), and will buy the souped-up special edition whenever it comes out later.

I just got the single disc DVD for now, will get the double dip edition on Bluray.
It's good to have a DVD copy anyway, since Blurays anchor me to one room but I can watch DVDs anywhere.
