I've just been introduced to the Quantum of Solace PS3 Online Multiplayer and I really do have to say that i'm very impressed. I'm getting my new PS3 at the end of the week so I can have a chance to play it at my house, instead of taking over a friends for the night.


Just wanted to know what everyone's favorite maps are, weapon of choice, what type of multiplayer you prefer (Classic, Bond versus...) etc...

I would REALLY like a CBn classic battle, too. (HINT HINT)

I haven't played in a while. But if my memory serves me right, I did I quite enjoy all the team based modes ; Territory Control, Bond Escort, Team Deathmatch.

I haven't even tried to play the normal deathmatches, as I feel that when online, you should play with other people against a team of other people. Gives me less singleplayer---y feel, I think.

Played few matches of the Golden Gun. It's fun when you get the gun. But other than that, I enjoy the team based modes.

Well, get an Xbox 360 and you're on!

Otherwise, yeah the multiplayer was ok, but why couldn't we have skins for CR/QOS characters? The game itself already has, other than Bond, characters for Camille, Vesper, Greene, Le Chiffre, Mr. White, Obanno, Mitchell, etc. Unless you play that Bond vs. mode, which gets old pretty quickly, the game just feels like "standard shooter multiplayer no. #467" with everyone playing generic soldier characters.

I am quite addicted to the multiplayer mode at the moment =)

If any other CBN players are out there lets get a game together. I use the PS3 by the way.

Does anyone know the best set up to have in multiplayer mode?

Best Gun, gadget etc to have?

Forgive me for not remembering the names of the guns as it's been a while since I played. But my set up consists of the automatic shotgun, a flak vest, and proximity mines. I can't remember what my secondary pistol is at the moment though.

Well thread is a tick old but posting here anyway to spare making another thread for it, since it seems this will service.

Anywho, I'm a bit curious as to what everyone's favorite multiplayer map is? Personally I'm fond of Siena.

And falling back to the first post, totally up for a game of CBn Classic PSN name is the same as my username. I use Tybre for pretty much everything, come to think of it.

Siena probably, Chemical plant is the worst. I don't like the multiplayer that much, at least on XBOX because it's hyper sensitive. Golden Gun mode is cool, though.

I would enjoy multiplayer more if:

1. It was a tick more like MGO (something they clearly used as a model) and there was some customization of characters instead of just a handful of recycling avatars
2. Offline play option
3. My PS3 remote was not broken. Left analog stick jams occasionally. I end up running off of roofs and things because of it.

Offline play would have been great, as would better animation. All the characters move and die fast. The guns all sound the same too. Call of Duty 4 has the best online multiplayer, and a Bond game could easily topple that if done right.

Yeah, but Activision was more concerned with CoD than QoS. I also think they may have been a little rushed. Didn't EA get their Bond rights revoked for failing to make a CR game? Activision probably would've had the same done to them if they failed to make a QoS game, or they would've been put on warning, or something. Main problem is CoD seems to have been their primary concern.

Well if anyone sees this and is up for it I'm going to play some multiplayer now. Invite me if you'd like. Otherwise I'll just stick to finding matches.

I have every console of every generation from the NES forward, but I only have Quantum of Solace on the PS3. Fail to see the need to buy it across multiple platforms.
