I found this book at the thrift shop today for like $1 and i didnt even know it existed.

Has anyone heard of or read this book?

Well, it's a bit dated, but I think Boyd may have been the first one to point out the parallels between the Bond character and St George, hasn't she?

I actually picked this book up at a library sale 9 or 10 years ago. I haven't but glanced through it, though.

It's actually a pretty interesting and worthwhile book for anyone with any interest in theology. Boyd is the only female critic to have written at length on Fleming, and she has an interesting take on Fleming's conception of good and evil, along with his other attitudes. The later parts of the book tend to drift away into detailed discussions of Dietrich Bonhoeffer that have little to do with Bond, but overall it's an intriguing little book, and worth a glance.
