All these posts about who is going to be the next James Bond and who you want to be the next James Bond ... It's all explained in Jimmy McTee's "Central Casting", as I have mentioned before. Apparently the book has upset Patrick Mower (a one-time contender)and maybe Robbie Williams (http://stores.lulu.com/aroundthepeak)

While normally we try to welcome new members with open arms, 6 of your 8 posts so far have been about this self-published book.
I suppose it is tangentially related to James Bond - please keep your shilling to a bare minimum.
Welcome to CBn, Emma, or should I say Jimmy?

This book sounds very interesting. A description I read on the net:
A Hong Kong journalist is convinced by a mysterious American to help ruin the reputation of an actor tipped to become the next James Bond. It's an odd job. Even for the man with the golden quote.
So, Jimmy, since you've started this thread, how about giving us some extracts from your book? I'm intrigued, but I ain't gonna buy it sight unseen. Any chance of giving us a flavour of it?

Well, I'm not sure why this is on the Lazenby thread but I too salute your self-promo. The cleverness and shamelessness are admirable, leading me to think the book's well worth a look.
