Interesting...I can think of a few people here who will probably enjoy seeing her being tortured.

At least they managed to put some Bond references in there since there's no movie clips. There's the Oddjob statue, the white cat, a Honey Ryder statue (with a harpoon gun?), and a Tilly Masterson (in gold paint) statue. And of course the gunbarrel makes two appearances and the sword hits Bond's painting. It was hard to tell just how much it was done due to the low quality of the file, but it's obvious that blood was blurred out in some spaces (probably since it was aired in Germany).

What was with the hebrew writing on the electric chair though?

Just got done downloading this and viewing it. Not bad, very nicely put together. I like all the little nods and winks to the Bond films. In one scene you can see the Golden Gun.

Just heard that the clip was on air at MTV Russia. At 1830 there will be "Making of..." movie.

There it is again, but indeed, quality is a bit poor (and for me it' the small problem that .WMV-files don't run very good on a Mac). Get it while you can or wait until tonight.
The whole fighting scene in the second half of it is obviously a reference to the MR-Venice fight (and reminds me a bit of the Whitaker-fight in FYEO). I guess that most of torturing scenes are references to DAD. The letters appearing on the electric chair in the end are hebrew. Anybody out there able to read this?

I dare to think what some people would do with the footage of Bond being tortured.....

I still cannot stand the song, so the video was tough to watch. Blaa. I really think the song is horrible. I'm guessing Madonna and her synthesizer guy put a whole ten minutes of work into it.

Personal favorite Bond tune: Goldeneye. The stylings of Tina Turner over the work of Bono and The Edge. You just can't beat that.

Actually I reacted to it much better than when I first heard the mp3 of the song...Enjoyed this very much! Good Madonna beating the absolute ***** out of Bad Madonna, and vice versa, whilst Somewhere in Between Madonna gets tortured and gives some back.

And the Bond references work much better than what would be gained by showing clips of the film in the background - we're going to see the movie and the trailers anyway, and whatever gets put into a film clip is usually old news. Very well done.

Dont worry about poorness of quality on a MAC, it was just as poor on my end as it was probably on yours! Kudos to mrsciccone site....Good Work getting it out there.

As for the references...never would have figured Madonna for Rosa Klebb but maybe in another universe, perhaps so. I think the reference to Whitaker was in TLD and not FYEO, but with all that glass and breakage and statues, I see what you mean...but MR has a clear presence. I immediately thought of TB when I saw the spear gun, but that is the DN bikini. (Although she needs to shoot her from behind! Behind! :-D.) And did I spy a spacesuit from YOLT? circa 2:30 or so

And who the hell is that bearded bloke painting the Gold Lady?!

mmm its a very 80's clip madonna-wise. and all the blood and stuff will restrict its showing on g-rated programs.

like the reference to moonrakers venini scene though, its not usually regarded as famous enough for reproduction.

A comment on the video based on the video file:

I think the look of the video is amazing, cinematography is great, the direction is good although the handheld camera sometimes gets on my nerves. During parts of the videofile the audio is not in sync with the images, so we can't exactly say anything about the editing following the rythem of the song although it does seem to take keymoments from the musical track and use them as key visual moments in the video. The theme of the video is absolutely amazing. A short explanation:

Scene A: Madonna in prison being tortured by guards. Rough Madonna
Scene B: White/Good Madonna fencing with Black/Evil Madonna.

These stories relate when Evil Madonna slices Good Madonna when fencing and we see Rough Madonna react to that wound. The rough Madonna reacts to the battle between good and evil. When the good wins from the bad in the end, when Rough Madonna is on that electric chair, she wins herself. Good conquers all. As does Bond, he always wins. He might get cut wounded or bruised but he always wins. And everything in the video is dipped with Bond references which all you Bond fans can spot much better then I can!

A little explanation about the Hebrew text in the electric chair in the end of the video, posted on the madonnamad forum by member Lioness:

1.her Tattoo: it says LAV in Hebrew letters- Lamed Alef and Vav - pronounced LAV, means "not" - and it is also a word that represents all the mitzvas of "shall not do" - you know what i mean right ?

2. the Tefilin- the belt she puts around her arm 7 time - on my avatar - in Judaism only men put on the Tefilin - they put it around their arm and forehead - around -7 times - it represents the 7 devine emotions - the Tefilin is a symbol of a connection to the Lord .

3. Tattoos are considered as very negative things in Judasim - a Juish person isn't alowed to have any- and if her has- before he is barried - they cut it out from his skin ...with lazer or whatever way


So that's all I can share with you all for now! I'll post more comments after I see the clear video and making of in about 45 minutes!
