Can anyone tell me how to beat that freaking Dimitrios guy?

I basically know what to do, but don't really know how to accomplish it. So yeah, you basically run to him after you've shot him full of lead and then press the triangle button.

But my problem really starts here. The buttons you have to press are given randomly and I never know what buttom comes to next and it's really frustrating. I've gotten through two rounds of fast button hitting, but I never seem to be fast enough for the third (and last hopefully?) round. That, plus when I die, I have to start all over again; shooting his goons and him, untill the game "chooses" to let me do the quick time event.

I swear, I never thought this game would be this frustrating. The Sink hole and now this?! Will there never be an end to my torment?

Anyway, I'm playing it on the easiest setting. Games like this made me ALWAYS play my first round on the easiest setting. Day'um!

I had this problem too. It took me like three days to beat Dimitrios. I guess you just have to be ready and attentive enough to press the buttons when they show. I know its frustrating.

I had trouble because I have a wireless controller which seemingly acts slower than the wire one. But if that's not your case, then I suggest keeping both thumbs above Circle and Square at all times during that sequence so its easier to press the buttons needed. But otherwise, there isn't really a strategy here.

The thing that sucks about the PS2 version is that you have to be an experienced gamer to play it.

Yeah, I had fun blasting through the ps3 version, mainly using quicktime takedowns and I actually enjoyed the quicktime boss battles in the next-gen version. I only got frustrated with them, when I played thought the game with the 2nd hardest settings. Believe me, I'm a bad gamer, even though I play a lot, and I'm not thinking of trying to beat the ps3 version on the hardest setting, because there really is nothing worth to get frustrated about.

Little did I know, that the ps2 version required experienced skills... on the easy setting. Anyway, since I got the ps3 version, and if I'm not going to beat this anytime soon, I'll just take it back to gamestop. The thing, though, that I like about the ps2 version, is that it feels more plot driven and there's more to Quantum of Solace, than a less than quantum of missions taking place in the quantum settings :(

Now I'm officially pissed at this game. I've tried it about two hours and still no luck. I'm tired of yelling and cursing at the tv like some maniac or small child and I'm really thinking of taking it back. Shame. Untill that point it was actually a pretty good game.

I'm amazed anyone even got pass that part.
Hardest game I've played. Ever. I'm totally put off by quick time events and I don't want to see them any more. Before, I actually enjoyed these cinematic breaks from the action in videogames. But not with Quantum of Solace.

I finally finished the level. My advice to anyone who hasn't finished the level and the Dimitrios fight ; just place the pad on some level and be ready to hit those buttons using both of your hands.

I just couldn't finish the sequence with only my thumb and as my last hope I tried this trick I've used in Metal Gear Solid. It get's way easier.

Yes it is easier for MGS. I don't know why I didn't think of that to be honest.

OKay, here is an update on the walkthrough. I apologize that it is taking so long, but I have a sick 14 month old, and a fiancee who works and is therefore not home to take care of her. I am working on the Opera House level now, so I should have it done by Sunday at the latest.

On the opera level you can dispatch two enemies using the console. There should automatically be a high pitch sound coming out of the speakers and the first guard should come to check the console. Take him out, then press the console yourself, hide behind the boxes and take care of the 2nd goon. The move up the stairs crouching and use the smoke machine. The guards shouldn't be facing you when you do this. While there's smoke, just use it as your cover and sneak to the latters.

Thank you for that tip, Blondie B) I knew about dispatching the first one and had a feeling concerning the second one, but I wasn't sure. I will include in my walkthrough with credit to you. Have just made it up to the top of the stage. Should have it done tonight, not sure though. Also, hope you don't mind, but I have put both the tips that you have given in my full walkthrough, and have given you credit for them.

Currently getting annoyed to heck at the Elvis/Greebne battle in th Eco Hotel. I've killed them both but, when I did that, (ONCE! at 4:15 this morning) one of Medrano's clowns killed me as I tried to get out of the room, prompting me to let out a house quaking barrarge of abuse so filthy Ofcom would explode if I were on air! Any hints or tips that would prevent me from turning not only the air, but the ozone blue again?

And I mean to progrss in the game not alternate swearwords...

I've got a problem again, I'm afraid. B)

How does one navigate the stealth section in the Haitian docks level? I've shot that hanging crate and tried to get past windows and guards and everything, but no such luck...

What I do and I prob do this 007 style, I watch the nearest guards movements and then when he moves I climb the ladder and then when I get to the top I wait and don't move just yet, I watch that same guards movements and the when he moves I head towards the windows w/the guards. Hope that helps...So just watch and wait for the right timing

Use cover to your advantage. And you're sure to beat Elvis. The pillars make nice cover. I prefer the couch on the other end of the room. It has a good advantage point.

Only trouble I had with it was that it's rubbish. What a boring, uninspired, repetitive game. Even some of the voice acting was terrible, a crime given the great actors involved.

Okay, I can beat Elvis. However, when I get to Greene, it's a whole different story.
I shoot at him, but I eventually run out of ammo and he won't DIE! It's so frustrating....B)

okay, well one way is to save your ammo that you have left and then dispatch the guards that come to Greene's aid and take their ammo and keep doing that nessicary till you kill Greene... Good luck...

I took out all of his guards then it got to a shootout between just Bond and Greene where segments of wall would collapse revealing explosive tanks. I just blew all of those up as soon as they appeared and Greene went down. I think it was only three tanks, maybe four.

Maybe. I was playing on the PS3, and I was more concerned with killing the guards so I didn't have people shooting me in the back while I was trying to take down Greene. After I killed all the guards there was like a 2 second cutscene and then Greene was shooting at me from the balcony while I ducked behind those little well segments and started shooting at him. I have really crappy aim, so it took a bit. Piece of the wall tile collapsed like when Bond finds Camille in the film and I shot the tank, which blew up a good portion of the balcony. Maybe it just does that if the fight drags on too long...
