I'm of rather mixed feelings towards Kingsley Amis' creation for Bond's love interest of the show. On a fundamental level, it's a bit difficult to sympathize with the character. She's the sort of girl who actually thinks it might be possible for the United States to be responsible for kidnapping "M" in order to frame the country of Britain for disrupting a Soviet Peace Conference.
I confess, my oddest problem with her isn't her ignorance of geopolitics, however. It's the fact that she's a rather peculiar body choice and description to play a Greek woman. Being a blonde bombshell isn't the first thing you really think of when you want to make an embodiment of Grecian beauty.
That may just be me being a trifle silly, though.

Myself, and the good Loomis about these parts, are both champions of Colonel Sun.
I'm sure he'll step up here at some point. Regardless of her take on Sun's scheme, I think she's a great Bond girl.
Clever, can hold her own and as to her description, I've met a number of "bombshell", buxom, tabacco-blonde Greek girls. They're not all dark skinned, raven haired, beauties. Nothing wrong with that either though.
The scene with her "seemingly" cursing him out in English in front of two Greek thugs who don't understand English is brilliant before they take them both out and escape dashing through the ruins in the moonlight is excellent.
No, IMO, she's a believeable and strong lady to join the ranks of Bond girls.
Now, Loomis - Get in here and back me up.

I agree, I'm very fond of Ariande's assets in certain areas. Still, it's interesting how she switches gears with Bond even more than most girls. She leads him into a trap designed to capture and torture him and then jumped into bed the same night.
Still, my favorite portion of her talks with Bond has to be when she's explaining the Colonel-General's plans to Bond and totally laughing at how ridiculous they were to believe Bond would fall for them.
