Best File Compressor For Mac OS X?

I just want to know (for all Mac users) what file compressor is the best to make a file "weight" less [or the least]. I already tried the .bzip2 file format, but it only marks down a few MB. as you can see here:

I heard about lrzip. They say it can compress a file to the lowest memory possible.

The only problem is when I download the file of it, I don't know how to install it. There are a few things for TERMINAL, but I don't want to risk messing up my computer if something goes wrong.

Do you know any application that can compress files or find a way to install lrzip?

What type of files are you compressing? I find different data types respond differently to different compression algorithms.
