- what was that thing on camille's back, looked like a scar or something, do you think it was there because of that fire, that happened when she was young?
- what was the point in showing the location names in certain parts of the film, i didn't see the point in that, and it didn't have any effect to be honest.

2. Would you rather have no idea where you were?

I was wondering if someone could clear up a few things.

Hi!
a) yes, I believe it was a scar from her youth; it is never said in the film, though, if memory serves. I guess it's meant to mirror physically her psychological scars. It's also a nice nod to the Fleming Bond Girls, who very often had some physical "flaw" (broken nose, limp, etc.) that, in the end, made them stronger and more attractive. I liked the fact that she didn't try to hide the scars, BTW.
I believe the location names were a nod to movies from the 60s, which featured such titles; some like them, some don't

"He left his mark."
That could be something to do with the scar on her back too?

Also just realized something, when Bond is talking to Camille about what the General did to her family, Camille says:
"He left his mark."

Yep, he left his mark both physically and emotionally on her.

Interesting, I always felt this was one of the less subtle parts of the film. It was pretty obvious her scar was from the fire.
