He's young, talented, and he just scored a critical success with the movie Twilight. British actor Robert Pattinson has just been introduced to the rest of the world, via his movie, in the same manner that Sean Connery did at the time he made Darby O'Gill and the Little People. As Pattinson is still in his early twenties, his acting ability is still being developed, but in a decade or two, could he be a future Bond? Twilight is just the beginning.

I would seriously vomit if this guy was cast as Bond (no exaggeration there, either). After seeing "Twilight," I see a horrible actor, and a real cocky douchebag in real life. I'd honestly prefer Daniel Radcliffe over Robert Pattinson as 007.

But that's just my humble opinion.

he just scored a critical success with the movie Twilight.

50% @ Rotten Tomatoes ... if that counts as a critical success, then I should be able to wipe my own behind with a film reel, vomit all over it and be in contention for the most popular film of the year. That's what Stephanie Meyer did to vampire lore, and it seems to have worked for her.

(PS: the short version to this post is "no!")

I don't see Pattinson as James Bond. I don't know anything about him as an actor, as I haven't seen a single film that he's been in, but I just don't think of him as James Bond material. He may end up surprising me, though.

If anyone from Twilight was going to be cast in a Bond film, I'd give my vote to Kristen Stewart about a decade from now. She's a fantastic actress who would, about ten years from now, be every bit as good of a Bond girl as Eva Green.

If any vampire is gonna be Bond, I think TRUE BLOOD's Stephen Moyer would be fantastic.

No, I don't think so. And thankfully, EON know better than to look at teen pin-ups for Bond.

NO. He's an atrocious choice for Bond.

Agreed. Bond is not an Abercrombie and Fitch model with a brittish accent.

Not even. Plenty of A&F models are attractive. That Pattinson fellow looks like he was hit in the face with a 2x4.

No just no. The guy represents nothing of James Bond. He's one the weirdest actors i've seen and honestly, I don't understand what girls see in him.

Well, we are living in an age where girls prefer their men to look more like women. :(
