#3 Christmas Jones/Denise Richards. One of many lame attempts to create a strong female character by just having her bicker and argue with Bond (see Wai Lin also.)

#2 Stacy Sutton/Tanya Roberts. First there's the delivery of the line "If it happens at peak tide for maximum effect ... " But then the bigger question is: how do you not hear a blimp swooping down right behind you?

#1 Mary Goodnight/Britt Ekland. Ditzy character, bad actress. Those lines at Scaramanga's dinner! Most complaints about Bond films being sexist are deservedly earned with this role.

So there's one from the 90s, 80s, and 70s. For the 2000s, Jinx gets a dishonorable mention. Can't think of one from the 60s that annoys as much as these. Funnily enough, even Casino Royale 67 has stronger women than many official Bond films.

There have been some great posts so far, some of which cracked me up.

My list, after some consideration would have to be:

3-Lupe. Don't get me wrong, she's cute and Bond banging her while infiltrating Sanchez's organization is cool, but the acting was so wooden it was like watching Bond seduce a tree trunk.

2-Mary Goodnight. First and foremost, and don't find that name funny at all. Secondly, and I think someone pointed this out already, how in the world did she earn a job at MI6? That's absolutely preposterous

1-Jinx. Poorly acted (which is a shame because I think Halle Berry can act) and badly written in the most severe way, Jinx takes the cake and eats it too in terms of :(tiness.

A lot of people put Tiffany Case on their lists. You know, she turns into a ditsy bimbo in the last 20-25 minutes of the film, but before that I think she is actually alright. Nice actress and very good looking.

I have to say that, even though Fields' screen time was very short, she was one of the best Bond girls, she was used as an innocent, naughty girl who let Bond discover the powers -and consequences- of his charms.

Lesson learned.

About Halle Berry, she might be hot, and have awesome breasts and all that, but I didn't like her, she used too much screen time and there was some parts I felt that all was focused on her and not on Bond.

I also hate Wai Lin and Tifanny Case.

Everyone's going to hate me, but Im going to have to add Honey Ryder to the list. She's not at all essential to the plot. And for me, she didn't really add anything to the movie except her looks. There. I said it. Sue me

Don't worry, Shadow. I added Honey Ryder on my list. It amazes me that she often lands high on a lot of Best Bond Girl roles when all she did was walk out of the goddamn sea and convert oxgen into carbon dioxide.

This is pretty close to how I'd have arranged my list.

It's from bad to worse:

3.Mary Goodnight-She is pretty dumb, I have to say. But not too annoying.

2.Stacy Sutton-I was a little kid when I first saw AVTAK and man she annoyed me screaming "James!" then!

1.Christmas Jones-Poor kid. They knocked the legs out from under this character with the crass double entendres. Badly handled all the way around.

Yep Jinx gets a dishonourable mention from me too!

Everyone's going to hate me, but Im going to have to add Honey Ryder to the list. She's not at all essential to the plot. And for me, she didn't really add anything to the movie except her looks. There. I said it. Sue me

I can see where you're coming from. No worries!

She does sort of gets a free pass in the minds of Bond fans but I can't think of much she does except come out of the water in a bikini. :(

The weakest of the Bond girls are those who have been given little or no screen time to explain who they are or why they are interested in Bond. Sylvia Trench, Mary Goodnight, and the unnamed girl in the log cabin with Bond at the beginning of TSWLM qualify under this criteria. I am willing to give the OHMSS girls (other than Tracy) a pass since there are too many of them.
