I started writing this for the anthology thing earlier this year but never finished it. A few changes and here it is as a heartwarming Yuletide fable....

This is quite odd...
I've never gotten this before.

Odd indeed, MHarkin007... The thread opens correctly on my computer.
I haven't had time to read it yet, though

You absolutely win this year's Bond Christmas story competition. I don't think I'm even gonna try until next year cause trying to top it will require some thought and is probably impossible anyway. You managed to both make me laugh out loud (incident at Madam Wei's) and preserve the feel of a Bond story. Thanks for the great Bond Christmas present and, as usual, great work!

I finally read it.
Now, I don't regret I won't post a Christmas short story this year: it couldn't, by any means, equal yours!
This could be a Fleming short (actually, IMO, it's even better: Fleming was not always good at short stories). You nailed the tone, and the take on characters is just perfect.
Kudos!

Erm.... bloody hell. I couldnt have put it better if I'd made up a new login and posted on this thread myself.
Thanks both. Cheques are in the post.
