I'm glad you liked the film, Laz. Me, I thought it was okay, but I missed Moneypenny and Q. And gadgets. I also think QUANTUM OF SOLACE could have used more humour.
Craig is a fine Bond, but he's no Brosnan. He's too serious, as is the film as a whole. It's a bit ironic that a movie that purports to be a return to Fleming features no 'ow's yer father between 007 and the Bond girl. Half-monk, half-hitman, indeed! Cheers, Eon.
So I think they'll have to do a bit better next time. I have faith, though, that they can deliver another GOLDENEYE if they really try.

Goldeneye? After watching this movie, I'm just hoping they can deliver something as good as Diamonds are Forever. Question: was this bad guy as good as Herve Vilacheze? My vote is for Herve.

Well, for me, Bond died in 1974. TMWTGG was the last really good one. It just goes to show that:
No Saltzman = no Bond.

Oh for God's sake. This is, what, thread number four in a series of Lazenby tantrums over Quantum of Solace? Its just trolling, at this point.
Well, the quicker they make a movie helmed by Forster, the newer complaints I can have

I agree Dino. I am considering going away for a few days and let him finish his ranting off. I don't see the point of opening so many threads to say the same thing over and over. It's tiring.

I cannot tell you how much I loved this film. That driving scene in the beginning was something I never saw before, great. Forster was brilliant enough not to bore us with dialog during the interrogation scene and jumped to a chase scene, shaking that camera. Camera shaking is wonderful because it confuses us to a point where we do not know what’s happening. It seems so real, like I'm there. Maybe next time they will make it very real and have someone jump out and split my head open. Hopefully they do it next time for every scene, it really adds flavor. I next love that Bond tracks money to some guy in a hotel room, next, a fight scene ensues and he meets our leading lady. I hated that Casino Royal took the time to link scenes with dialog and story, and was so happy that Forster used meaningless action. Bond on a motorcycle. I have not scene that since.....a Brosnan movie. Great insight Marc. And when Camille returns to the docks to confront the guy who tried to kill her. Wonderfully done, made sense to me. He in-turn gives her off to another thug. Talk about combining beauty and smarts. The producers really found some balance. I love watching Bond run and run some more. I would have changed the title to “Run Jimmy Run”. Thank God Forster did not let Felix or M act, it would have slowed the movie down. And that sky diving scene, MY GOD. It looked so real. Did Craig actually jump out of the plane? Don’t know. That bad guy was so intimidating, chilling. Keep up the good work Babs and Michael and sign Forster to every future movie. You found yourself a gem. Can’t wait to see it again.
There are actually signs (nearly) of embryonic wit in this post. Most surprising given the author.

Is anyone else thinking that things are getting quite pathetic, petty and vindictive round here. It's not worth the hassle any more. Fine - people won't agree with people.Oh for God's sake. This is, what, thread number four in a series of Lazenby tantrums over Quantum of Solace? Its just trolling, at this point.

This is not why I joined CBN and certainly why I am considering bailing.

Oh it will take more than a George Lazenby obsessive to do that. i just don't see why the work of Eon, Fleming and the mods of CBN should be reduced to this fanorak-led trolling.
I'm not allowed to be critical of the movie? Sorry.

Agree with Lazenby . Quantum Of Solace is the best in the series. It is like everything Fleming wrote in one film. Amazing!
Wait Wait Wait. I was being sarcastic

No? Really? Perhaps some people just didn't get your subtext and really didn't understand you (although I'm sure Craig understood you perfectly). A bit like QoS, then, possibly...?

A note to everyone: chill. This should be a fun time to be on the Forums; the endless provocation and sniping is having the opposite effect.
