Didn't Like It The First Time...

This film is really something special and I suggest the "haters" see it a second time and give it another shot. There is so much in the film to savor and it'll be at least two years until the next one comes along.
The taxi ride in Bolivia has to be one of the funniest in the series with the driver ranting about his Mother and Mathis on his cell phone -- simultaneously translated?!? Funny stuff.
Two minor complaints: the sequence in Haiti feels rushed. It could have played out in two or three additional scenes... Too much is happeneing at the dock for my taste.
Second, would have loved a scene with Bond and Fields where she could explain the political/social issues in Bolivia. Maybe set up the police corruption. I like Fields, she was under-used.
Don't give up on QOS. Spend money, watch it again on the biggest screen available -- you might just have a change of heart.

I'm sure the film will grow on many who hate it now. C'mon folks, give it a second chance if you were disappointed first

Ok, my first viewing was marred by a film that jumped out of its sprockets and then stopped altogether, but on balance I wasn't enjoying it per se.
Tonight, I feel it was a superb film in its own right, and a first class Bond.

Everyone needs to see this one at least twice. The second viewing solidified my opinion of the film...but the third and fourth will be just for pleasure

I think this is the most re-watchable Bond film in decades---due to the short running time, and the many delicious character and plot tidbits that are (or can be) missed in a first viewing.

Totally agree!
