Having seen the film three times, twice literally back-to-back on opening night, with a half hour in between both showing's, and once Saturday at five, I can safely say I love it.

The opening shots, of the location and the aston, with the music building everything up, was beautiful. I'm very happy the gunbarrel wasn't at the beginning. It would have ruined this very captivating and suspenseful opening. The sold out audience, in both showings, was instantly captivated.

The Title Sequence was merely OK, especially coming off the back of the outstanding Casino Royale title sequence. While it did have some good moments, and Another Way to Die fit well, as well as its overall theme, it seem underdeveloped and sometimes slightly dull.

From that point on, it was wall-to-wall suspense, intrigue, and brilliance. The movie had a great pace to it and didn't feel to short in the slightest.

Loved when Bond entered Slate's room. The fight was more Connery than Bourne. Bond grabbing every object he could and slamming it on Slate was entirely in the fashion of Connery. Then what followed in the lobby. Classic Bond.

All the action, including the freefall, which was admittedly far fetched, was very well done and suspenseful.

Craig oozed cool. But more than that, he was a very well rounded and developed human being. A great extension from the character introduced in Casino Royale and the definitive interpretation of Bond.

Almaric made a different yet classically sinister villain in Greene. Very well acted and certainly a "love-to-hate" kind of character.

Hats off to Judi Dench, who is officially a crowd favorite (at least in my audience). Very great performance. Love the new Bond-M dynamic.

Both Bond girls were great.

I don't know why people are so insulted that the movie required them to think and follow character development. "Oh no, a sequel expects me to see the the first one. This is the first time this has ever happened in movie history. Damnit!" I mean, seriously. It's like some critics expect so little from Bond that they are mad it had substance.

Bond clearly progressed more and more in the film until the final scene, represented very well in the gunbarrel. The Bond in Act I is not the Bond in the final act. Just because that has never happened before, save Casino Royale to a lesser extent, doesn't make it bad.

I also don't understand whats wrong with different. Different situations and occurrences doesn't mean it's not Bond, or doesn't have Bond moments, or isn't cool. It means it's different. Simple as that.

For all the critics who said that this Bond wasn't humorous, what movie where you in? My crowd laughed frequently. Bond had a ton of great quips and Bond moments. Some of the best ones were:

"I'm not going to dwell in the past, you shouldn't either"
"Yeah? Well I missed" (and then flipping the bike!)
"I really think you people should find a better place to meet"
"We're teachers on sabbatical and we just won the lottery"
"I can't find the....stationary"

to name just a few. Each time, the audience erupted with laughter.

For those who say Bond isn't a womanizer: did you miss the Fields part? He bedded her immediately, wasting less time than Roger Moore on his best day.

Is it really that upsetting that, with Camille, Bond developed a deep and interesting relationship with a woman that wasn't sexual? I found it refreshing.

For those that complain about the female names not being silly: Strawberry Fields. Enough said. Just because you weren't beat over the head with it, over and over again, doesn't mean it wasn't there.

So basically, I guess the complainers merely want the exact same damn film over and over and over again. Because this was definitely Bond.

Amazing and enjoyable film. Truly one of the best in the series!

I give this film a 9/10. Nearly perfect in its own right, yet it needs "Casino Royale" to be whole (which isn't a bad thing, it just thus can't be perfect on its own).

Combined, those CR and QOS are the best Bond experience.

Nicely put British Chap!

The first time I saw it the crowd was fairly quiet (it was an older crowd) the next day the crowd laughed and little more at the jokes, but seemed like they were afraid to make any noise in the theatre. The next day the crowd was bigger and a younger mix, they laughed at the jokes! There was also a buzz in the crowd after the action scenes in a good way.

Yeah I don't understand when critics said there was no humour and Bond brooded through the whole thing charm free with nothing to do. I wondered what movie were these people watching? :(

Agreed with all, though I actually thought the freefall was very, very realistic. I love Bond's 'efficiency' (as Camille herself put it) as he barks instructions at her on the way down.

The only part I found unrealistic was the landing. Which, of course, is the hardest part to falling.

Yes. I meant the landing.

But, what saved the landing was that he didn't get up, straighten himself up, and make a quip. He hit the ground hard and stayed down.

Thanks all for reading it!
