Having seen the movie a 3rd time my opinion is... exactly the same.
I am having therefore (although i respect) more and more difficulties understanding all the bad reviews.
This is Bond AT ITS BEST!!
I absolutelly loved it.
Here is my review (same as the first one):

Overall Comments:

Some will hate it (few), some will like but will disappointed and some (hopefully many) will be absolutely stunned by the visually and artistically rich James Bond film they will see (yep, you can put me in this group!). Having seen the movie twice in 3 days (now a 3rd time), I now feel I can express my feelings with clear objectivity after the typical emotional response from a true Bond Fan (just for the record I love all the James Bond movies, even the really bad ones).

(+) Points:
. Daniel Craig (what a great actor! He has more than reinvented the character and deserves definitely the critics rendition to its charismatic, if yet too ruthless at some times, interpretation of the ultimate action adventure spy);
. Marc Foster and its crew (especially the art design, photography/cinematography and editing team). This is definitely not your average James Bond Film. Class and style are all over, never letting this artistically new route overcome the true look and feel of a 007 movie (what a major achievement!!);
. The score (after reading so many bad reviews and couldn’t believe my ears. Not only there are “bondian” tunes all over the film as they arrive precisely when they should making this probably David Arnold’s best James Bond soundtrack to date);
. M and 007 (after a few films building the basis of a strong and maternal relationship, this time this pair live wons the movie with the best dialogue, best humor and really tender/emotional moments);
. The Opera scene (I have one word to describe this scene – fabulous. Just watch and live the moment!);
. The action scenes (especially the Aston Martin chase and the plane chase), although “too fast” edited and “too rough/tough” at some times, beautifully staged, highly efficient and made even more great by David Arnold’s fantastic tune;
. The ending (yes, including the gun barrel superbly placed in the end of the film). For those who almost feel inside the character’s shoes during the film and actually feel the emotional journey James Bond is about to end, the sequence in Russia, the dialogue scenes with Yussef’s girlfriend and M and epilogue/climax (gun barrel) will just be totally surrendered to the strengths of this film.

(-) Points (not really negative, but not as overwhelming as the overall movie):
. Main titles (bring back Daniel Kleinman) and theme song (not as bad as people say, but nevertheless not one of the best in the series);
. Camille and Fields (the second, being a much lesser memorable character then the first), played by average actresses whose acting skills are at their best due to Marc Foster’s superb direction;
. Fast moving history/script and sometimes difficult to follow especially for those who haven’t seen Casino Royale recently and weren’t already well informed, as I was, from previous “spoilers” surfing the web.

In Short:
From the exact moment the film starts (I mean the Columbia Pictures logo appears), David Arnold’s superb score starts setting the moment and beautifully shot Italian roadside appears you know that you are going to see a very special James Bond Movie. This is perhaps, artistically speaking, the best Bond of all times. May not be the “Bond movie model/template” for all fans (I understand some of the critics, although I don’t stand by them) but is definitely a very good action movie. For this fan though it became, together with On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, one of my two “007 cult movies”.
Special last words to Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccolli: thanks for your bold and courageous decision to reinvent the Bond Movies and for making me have one of my most “rich” movie experiences in many, many years. Long live James Bond!
End of transmission: MI6, Lisbon Branch.

"May not be the “Bond movie model/template” for all fans...."

A beautiful understatement!

But I am pleased you enjoyed it and will follow your example and watch it again. I will need maybe a month to prepare myself for another assault upon my senses. But I will see it again refreshed with an open mind at the back of the theater rather than at the front.
