Wow. I wish I liked it as much as you did Dove. Whereas I rank Casino Royale quite high on my list of Bond movies, Quantum of Solace is quite low.

If I had to rate QoS it would be 8/10. it was great but had alot of faults in it with editing and to short of a movie to really flesh out the story and characters. its number 4 on my list .

9.5 out of 10!! WTF!!! You must like Moonraker and A View To A Kill, too!
CR may have been closer to your rating, but QoS was crap!! There's probably a better film on the cutting room floor, but the final product wasn't even watchable (with the exception of the opera scene).

Thought it would be appropriate to do a quick update to my rating of Quantum of Solace, having now seen the sheer awesomeness that is Skyfall.. Since writing my initial review of Quantum four years ago, I now give it a 7 out of 10.. Yes, the flaws in this film have become more and more apparent to me as the years have progressed...I question my initial rating of 9.5, but most likely I was just too excited and caught up in the moment of seeing the movie to properly analyze it. I still enjoy Quantum and Daniel Craig's performance a hell of a lot (I definitely do NOT rank it below Die Another Day), but the light of where the Marc Forster, the film's editors and the quick-hack job of trying to finish the script in light of the looming writers' strike at the time ultimately caused the film to suffer. Still though...plenty of Bond-ness in it that I can still enjoy it now and then..and hey...watching a weaker Bond film now and then really helps one to enjoy the better films a lot more.
