So what was your favorite action piece?

Mine was probably the finale. Very cool explosions, but not claustrophobic. I also liked the boat chase. With boats in action, it feels totally nonlinear and slow, but this was fine. I also liked the car chase, though the editing disappoints. And I am a a fan of quick editing, but this overdid it just a bit. It was still thrilling. The Siena chase I didn't like so much, they needed to brighten up the colors. Maybe it was just the theater, or my seats.

What did you think?

I would say mine was the fight scene with the 3 MI6 security agents in the elevator. That was a surprise and explosive. In fact, the individual fight scenes were my favorite parts of the movie.

Mine was the scene where Bond fights Greene which cuts with Camille fighting Medrano. My favourite scene of all is the opera scene, but I don't think that'd count as an action scene.

Mine are the plane/skydiving sequence and the fight with slate sequence(in the aprtment)! f'ing cool! The the car chase at the begining ended too soon and the opera scene did not blow me away!

Opera was excellent, except for the last part and yeah, I really wasn't expecting much from the plane chase, but it worked out brilliantly.

Can someone explain to me how he caused the fighter jet to lose control?

I like when Bond is getting away from the MI6/CIA agents in the hotel (right after elevator fight). Not totally an action scene, but it showed how cool Bond is.

The Siena roof and bus chase.

I also like the Haiti boat chase.

Least favorite: the planes because of the obvious CGI elements.

I LOVED the PTS, very brutal and fast. One of the best in the series. I cannot the remember the last time I saw just a normal car chase, fantastic. :(

The Opera seqeunce is a brilliant one aswell, very arty. The silent restraunt shootout is a brilliant addition.

Marc Forster really delivered with this one! :)

The opening sequence. Brilliant! And the Siena rooftop chase, and the art gallery.

I agree 100% with you! This PTS shows that we don't need anymore the missiles, the invissible cars and the spikes!

And the silence during the restaurant fight scene is an Oscar-nominating one!

-The fight with Slate in the hotel room. There was something so visceral and real about that fight.

-The PTS. I loved every second of it.

-Restaurant fight. The editing actually bothered me a bit in this one scene, but it was just so beautiful I stopped minding after about three seconds.

It's funny, I really enjoyed the film but the more I think about it the more of a masterpiece I think it is.

I have three favorites:

*Bond vs. Slate in the hotel room

*The dogfight/plane crash

*Finale fight at burning Bolivian hotel

I especially enjoyed the airplane sequence

For me, Bond fighting Slate in the hotel room. I like the way it just comes out of nowhere - Bond walks into the room, looks around, suddenly we see a close-up shot of a knife being opened. Uh-oh! Then the scene EXPLODES, clearly these are two skilled professionals, though each has their own approach, Slate favours quick knife slashes, Bond goes with the tried and tested "Grab 'im and throw 'im through a glass door" technique.

I also liked the Bond/Greene fight at the end. I remember Mathieu Amalric's comments that the fight would be different because Greene was not a trained fighter, and I think it works because Greene's crazed, screaming, flailing attacks throw Bond off, who at first can do nothing but try to defend himself from this nutter...

My favorite was the opera shootout interwoven with shots of the opera itself. It's actually one of my favorite moments in the entire franchise.

Bond fighting Slate in the hotel room. I think it is one of the best fights in the series.
