SPOILERS, OF COURSE
Readers of the Titan comics may recall that, at the end of Polestar, Bond takes the villain at gunpoint, flies him by helicopter away from his Arctic lair, forces him to undress, and abandons him in the hostile environment to walk back to safety, knowing that he'll never make it.
At the conclusion of Quantum of Solace, Bond takes the villain by force, drives him by SUV away from his desert lair, gives him a can of motor oil, and abandons him in the hostile environment to walk back to safety, knowing that he'll never make it.
The comics aren't well enough known for this to have been a deliberate homage, but I think it's an amusing coincidence.

forces him to undress
Glad that didn't come about in QoS. I can't imagine seeing Amalric in the buff.

You 're right, I hadn't thought about that. There are other incidents that reminisce the films in the comics, but that's expected considering the long run they 've both had.
Still, the end of Greene reminded me The Good the Bad and the Ugly more than it did Polestar.
