All I can remember was seeing this naked female in the "fetal position" leaning forward as if she was about to give birth. Bond's bullet flies around haphazardly as if it's a sperm.

When the title is announced, I always say, "wait until it has been wrapped in fonts, graphics and has become an established part of the Bond canon for final acceptance." And I find I usually like it.
When the song is released, same with the titles and graphics.
Same with everything, "wait until it is part of the whole package."
So it was like this for YKMN and CR, didn't really like the song by itself, but it came to life with the titles. For AWTD, I was fully expecting it to be the same - IF the titles had been created by Kleinman.
The song was bad upon release, it was Worse with the titles. The whole three minute span couldn't go quickly enough - just awful. Both song and titles.
Oh well, onwards and forwards.

song and title sequence were crap. i did like the look of the named credits. i liked the graphics in the movie but kleinman was much better at the title sequence.
My thoughts exactly.

Like I said though, I really did appreciate the familiarity of Kleinman's font when it was missing in the QOS titles. I didn't care so much for the CR title sequence, which felt like animation for an on-line Poker website, but the QOS titles just felt like they were trying to target the kids with something in line with the Ocean's movies or that intro to the film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Like the Bourne aping, it just felt like they were ashamed to make a Bond film.

When I first heard the title track by Jack White and Alicia Keys I was not too happy. I then changed my "tune" tonight after seeing the midnight screening of the film at my local cinema. The song fit the titles perfectly and the way it was re-edited to fit the 3 minute sequence was a lot more appealing than the single on its own. Any thoughts?
I agree. With the title seq.(which I really liked -- very 70's retro and a nice follow on from the CR titles) the song works very well indeed. On its own, it's not so hot, but it does work in the context of the film.

Because it's meant to be like the song and the sand in the title sequence: i might not meant to be pretty, but they were aiming for something gritty all along.I thought the font was the worst, that and the sheer amount of grain in this sequence. The rest of the movie looks fine grained and smooth, so why does this title sequences look like SVHS transfered to S16mm? It made the attempted "updating" of this franchise element even more unsuccessful.

I have to admit I was wrong when I first heard the song and the soundtrack, I was not impressed. But after seeing an advanced screening of QOS last night, the music and the song artistically fits perfectly with the characters in the film. Please accept my apology Mr. Forster, Mr. Arnold and Mr. White. Quantum is awesome.

I know, I get, Bond is walking in the desert. There is sand in the desert, hence the graininess, but it didn't make for a sequence that was pleasurable to the eyes.

A+ is exaggerated, though. It's still a rather weak TS IMO.
