What's new, Octopussy?

Even though a representative of Eon Productions shot down nearly all of the current rumors surrounding Bond 20 (you can check out our previous story on that here), the UK website People News are reporting that singer Tom Jones is being considered for the title song.

Jones, who sang the classic title tune for Thunderball in 1965. According to a source quoted by People News, "It's early days, but we are desperately keen to have Jones do it. The recent themes have not been huge successes, but Tom Jones is a legend and the song would almost certainly be massive."

The piece also mentions the long-rumored working title of Beyond the Ice. It should be noted that most of the recent Bond films have had as many as 20 rumored working titles before a real title crops up. Considering that Bond 20 isn't scheduled for release until 2002, the production team have plenty of time to come up with a good title (let's just hope they come up with a good script to match).

A good male voice (to make a change from the past 4 songs by a female voice); Bond-related (Thunderball).

Tom Jones title track and a Madonna track that runs through the film like We Have All The Time In The World sounds great to me. I like the sound of the choices for Bond 20 music. 10/10 so far EON

I think it'd be great if Tom Jones did the title track. We need more Welsh singers for Bond.

Now for a truly Welsh Bond movie, they could've had Timothy Dalton in the title role, Anthony Hopkins as the villain, and Catherine Zeta Jones as the Bond Girl. Let's not forget Desmond Llewellyn. Then Tom Jones could do the song.

They should've thought of this ages ago!
