.. What about Anne Hathaway??
She would have to be young, starting her career in Mi6, knowing Bond for the 1st time.. She is beautiful and charismatic and would stay associated with the franchise for long. She and Daniel Craig could reinvent the 007/Monneypenny relationship!!

If we were to move away from British actresses for the role of Moneypenny, then I think that Anne Hathaway would be perfect.

I think that Anne Hathaway might be a bit too famous for the role, and it might be something of a distraction to go from having a cast of virtual unknowns (which appears to be the way that EON is taking the franchise at the moment) to having major stars in bit parts like the role of Moneypenny.

I like Anne, too bad she´s american.
I would really like Archie Panjabi in the role. She´s british, lovely, and a good actress :(

Hathaway is too well known and too American for the role. You need someone that can commit for around 10-15 years of Bond so pretty much any well established actress is out.
I'd also advise against going too young with Moneypenny, secretary to the head of Mi6 is still an extremely important position, one that needs to be worked up too.
However I do like the idea of Bond and Moneypenny meeting for the first time, re-establishing the relationship from scratch.

Only if Craig and Wright's Leiter diffused a Bomb while dressed as a pantomime horse :(

After thinking about it a bit, I think that Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski might be a good choice for the role. Granted, she's a bit on the young side, but I think that it would be great for EON to get someone and have that person be a part of the franchise for a while, rather than rotating actresses through the role every few years. My first choice for the role would have been Christina Cole, but I think that Yvonne Strahovski would be a good fit in the role as well.

No one knows Archie Panjabi?

Yes, Cole was the receptionist in the Bahamas in CR. It's a shame that they cast her in that because she would have made a very good Moneypenny.

Wasn't Lois Maxwell Canadian? I don't really see nationality/accent as much of a factor when it comes to a character who'll only have maximum 5 minutes of screen time (not saying she's not important, of course)

Nope. She's American. It misses the point.

If it was in the Samantha Bond style I'd go for Amanda Holden, good looking & flirty enough.
