Obviously I can't see QOS until Friday, but, many members on here compare the film to the likes of FRWL. How so? -- I'm anxious to hear the responses.

QoS is like nothing from before. it's like from another planet. so different.like a angry little brother pissed off at his older brothers.

I think they mean it is of a high standard similar to FRWL. I don't think QoS will be anything like FRWL, though. That's not a bad thing either, it should aim to be its own thing. It's time to look forward.

Quantum of Solace was nothing like the previous films. Yet it managed to maintain the Bond feel in some degree. But mostly it was a new take on Bond. Enough new, yet some nods to the old series.

Yep. Returns a little to the classic Bond atmosphere, but its a rare Bond film. I don't see it too similar to From Russia With Love.
