Haha...I respect your not liking overlays, but what credentials have you to lecture me on what does or does not make for appealing graphic art

One does not have to be a professional chef to critique a restaurant's cooking. Why should I have to list my credentials?

Besides, I'm not lecturing or preaching. Just providing two paragraphs of constructive criticism.

Yes, you don't have to be a chef. But can you cook? That was my point.

I did my signature, along with this and few other fan posters here and there. That's my sort of signature style, a sort of pseudo-old school lithograph look. I don't profess to being an expert by any means, but I know what I like.

I like it a lot. Glad you've taken some of my advice.

Though at this rate, it seems less and less likely that Leo the Lion will be resting on her [censored] cheeks.

Nice, I hate to say it, but I agree with Shark on the other one but this one is fantastic. It reminds me of a Bond book cover.

That's fantastic. The title card is too difficult to read though, but overall it's splendid work. :)

I agree, it's too hard to read - I wouldn't have known it was for RISICO if you hadn't told me.

I'm glad you like it! But I hate to tell you that I made it days before your advice.

Cool! Yeah, no problem, I understand that people have different tastes.

That's fantastic. The title card is too difficult to read though, but overall it's splendid work. :)

Thanks! Yeah, it would be easier to read if the letters were spaced out a little more. I was curious to see if it would be hard for people to read. I'll fix it soon and put up a revised version.

I agree, it's too hard to read - I wouldn't have known it was for RISICO if you hadn't told me.

That's why I told you! Haha...you know I'll admit that when I first glance at the title, to me it looks like it says "King." I'll confess that I'm secretly hoping the movie's about Electra King coming back from the dead and hunting down Bond. But what will she think when she finds him and it's not the same Bond?? :o

JUST KIDDING!!!

It looks like "CJIN" written upside-down to my eyes. The double gun attached to the seven threw me, too.

I like the concept behind the silhouette, though. The first thing I thought of was one of those optica illusions where you can see both a face an a vase in it. If you could somehow work the title in like that (ie is it a woman's silhouette or the title of the film?), I think it would be a real cracker.

Well I tried altering the spacing of the letters in the logo but it messed up the look of the logo too much...so...but hey, it just adds to the mysterious nature of the movie, right? lol

It is rather beautiful. The only gripe I have, is that Bonds shoulder is transparent, and you can see the wheel of the Aston Martin.

Thanks! I don't know what the cube is either, it was already in the picture. But I thought it had a cool Bondian atmosphere to it. Maybe it's the villain's lair...or maybe it houses the Hildebrand Rarity??!

Bond's shoulder isn't transparent. The reason you can see the wheel of the Aston is because the car is further back than Bond is. Bond is sitting on the edge of the dock, and the car is in the middle of the dock. So to not see the wheel Bond would either need to be extremely fat or have arms the size of 19" wheels.

You're right. After glimpsing the image at first however, I thought that was the case. I looked closer in the full size image, and I realised it was accidental optical allusion you created - you seem to be developing a knack for these after that last RISICO one! The positioning and curvature of Bond's tie against his shirt, looks like it could be the top left third of the wheel's spokes, and that Bond's chest is transparent.

Nice job, though a bit bleak. Reminds me of Wally Pfister's cinematography for Chris Nolan's INSIMONIA.

Ahhh now I get what yall are seeing...you think his undone bowtie looks like the other side of the tire...interesting. And now you have a taste of what a Chris Nolan Bond film will be like :cooltongue:
Oh, and did I mention the entire scene in the poster is a dream?

Just for who's interested: This cube was an installation for the Expo.02 in Switzerland. (designed by Jean Nouvel)
It really has the look of a extraordinary lair… (but not a very good one, too eye-catching)
