Would've been a great poster - lying face down, the snow turning red around him and subverting the usual line to, "Will James Bond Return?"
Sure, we all know he will, but would've wet the pallet as to how.

Either way it's a good poster idea, ending or no ending. It harks back to the Salztman days of unsettling the audiences by giving the allusion that Bond is dead (FRWL, TB, YOLT, TMWTGG). And of course the ending to From Russia With Love.
The Bond lying in a pool of blood on the floor could symbolise Quantum's critical and box-office failure compared to Casino Royale, with the producers showing the public that they know how they feel.

That's not how it ended, though, at all; the ending was actually Mr. White confronting Guy Haines at his country house, only to be surprised and shot by Bond (who, in one cut of this sequence, subsequently tells Haines his name in the manner we've all come to expect from him).Either way it's a good poster idea, ending or no ending. I find it sadly amusing Quantum of solace is the past let's move on to Bond 23 yet those who hate QOS keep brining it up saying how horrible it is. I loved It and yet I never bring up I love Quantum of solace.
Actually I don't have to My user name does it for me
as for bond 23 posters I am gonna begin working on a classic one for THR one that hopefully all will love.

I got that from the horses mouth - an interview with Marc Fosrter. He said that in the original deleted ending Mr White uses a sniper rifle to shoot Bond in the snow. He deleted the scene in order to leave Bond23 free to choose a new story and not be tied in to continuing with the Quantum plot.
I'd have preferred him to have left the scene in; it would indeed have harked back nicely to some of Fleming's cliffhanger endings, such as FRWL and YOLT. It's also a neat inversion of CR's ending.
Were you serious Mr. Blofeld about White going to Haines house, where he's shot by Bond, who then says his name.... .... just like the end of CR? ... ... That was a joke, right?
Maybe every future Bond movie could end with Mr White being shot at a different house by Bond, who then says his name, regardless of the story

i've seen a bit of the deleted end of Quantum Of Solace and Mr Blofield is right perhaps your idea was just one of many they were thinking of Blofields was shot though.Oh. One question...It is the incorrect hand because James Bond is not left-handed?
