[Craig is 007]

Daniel Craig´s first outing as James Bond and the 21st film in the series, Casino Royale, was the perfect Bond adventure. But when they say that you can´t improve perfection, they are wrong. Because that is exactly what Quantum Of Solace does, it improves perfection! The James Bond series reboot is taken one step further with this movie, and it is done with class. Quantum Of Solace is a classic James Bond adventure, with plenty of action, excitement, women and a script that is rather brilliant. Marc Forster and the producers has made a James Bond film that will take your breath away and leave you shouting for more. Daniel Craig delivers perfectly as James Bond, and he has now proven that he IS the best actor to portray Ian Fleming´s 007! The action sequences are intense and jaw dropping, and I must say that Jason Bourne can go **** himself. Mathieu Amalric, Olga Kurylenko, Giancarlo Giannini and the rest of the actors are magnificent, especially Amalric. The film is full of classic Bond moments and lines. Quantum Of Solace is one of the best Bond films ever made, and I can´t wait for Daniel Craig to return as James Bond in 2010!

'Craig is 007', for those of us who haven't seen the film - Nov 14 is our day - what do you say to those in the forums who say that Q0S is lacking in "classic Bond moments."?

Just curious. Some of Our English Cousins on CBn don't see classic moments in this film. Care to expand on your own claim, without being too spoilerific?

I couldn't disagree with you more ash7612. I think that Qauntum of Solace is one of the greatest Bond films of all time, and there are plenty of Bond moments, so you don't need to worry about that. That I can assure you!

Look at it this way - just as Bond goes rogue in QOS, the formula goes rogue, too. For this edition anyway. So everyone whinging about the lack of cheese in QOS can rest assure they'll be getting it again in the next installments. Let's enjoy the lack of dairy while it lasts.

Indeed JimmyBond...I've noticed too that is mostly new recruits who are chucking nasty, negative reviews here.. Our wonderful veteran members who may not have enjoyed the film have at least written logical, constructive arguments and I can respect them.

I've been here long enough (as you too, I'm sure) to realize this is all a cycle. When a new film comes out we get hundreds of new members, most of which taper off after the hype has died down (or the film is out on DVD). The long term members (us) will undoubtedly stick around, as will a few of the new members who enjoy the place.

Only those who wouldn't know a classic Bond moment if it were painted in gold and left on their beds. QoS is chock full of classic Bond moments. But most are deliciously subtle.

Well then pass me my pipe and dim the lights.

And unless they start selling crack alongside the popcorn, these Bond fans who don't like SOLACE but are unable to really voice why in any way that furthers, understands and 'get's the Bond franchise are in for a bumpy ride. The people behind SOLACE have made the film they want and pushed the series in the direction they have longed for for quite a while. They had less faith in their audiences. But as ROYALE and SOLACE's takings have already proved, the audience want this. They want their Bond to evolve and progress as cinema does all the time. Christopher Nolan evolved the Batman franchise as did Tim Burton. The fans were up in arms when Keaton was cast in 1989, but then moaned when Christian Bale was cast. Cinema evolves. It's just a shame fans don't.

I did like the film a lot, i even take back my previous comment that the title song is no good. The song fits the title very well, sometimes you have to see the whole picture. I also think it's great that the makers of the series bring us something new time after time. If I can say one negative thing, The opening is cut so fast you hardly know whats going on or can enjoy the action. Is this the result of computer editing?? Anyway, i did enjoy the movie.
