OK first part Peirce has said that he feels like he has one more Bond in him, which to me is very good news as he has been the best Bond since Sean Connery, he has that Connery essence about him.
Now onto another subject that has everyone talking "WHO" will play the next Bond, well I have my views on who it should be. Gerard Butler to me is a good looking Bond character and is relitivly unknown so it goes with the Bond tradition of hiring not so Famouse people to play 007, so he has my vote..
But, there was a mistake by the makers of Bond way back in 1995 when they hired a guy that suited Bond down to a T, this guy hasn't even been mentioned as a "possible" Bond but how could he when he played the Bad guy, its non other than Sean Bean.
To Round of in one sentance this topic, my views Gerard Butler for Bond, But it should be Sean Bean.

The story I heard was that he was hired to play 006 for this very reason, since he had indeed been considered by the filmmakers at one point as a potential 007. I guess that they thought the character of Trevelyan should be as close to James Bond as possible - handsome, womanising, risk-taking, ruthless and of a similar age - to make more believable their initial friendship and their competitive tension. Trevelyan and Bond are essentially the same, except that the former is evil.

It may not be too farfetched that he'll be considered for the role. He's already getting maximum exposure for TOMB RAIDER 2 and Michael Crichton's TIMELINE (both due out next summer, I believe). And when a girlfriend of mine saw him in DRACULA 2000, I jokingly said: "He's going to be the next James Bond. They announced it today." She replied: "Then I guess it's time for me to become a Bond fan."
And sadly, when I asked her what her opinion of Pierce Brosnan was, this was her response: "Eeewww!!! Aging pretty boy!!"
Well, I guess we can' t win them all.
No offense to anyone out there, but forget Hugh Jackman. They should give the role to Mr. Butler.

He does seem like the most likely choice.
