It was only a quick one this time, but isn't he the bearded guy reading the paper as Bond walks out of the Haiti hotel after collecting the briefcase?

You guys amaze me... Did you go through a special training to be able to spot a bearded MGW in a crowd? :(

There is no one there besides him an Bond in that scene. So everyone who knows Michael G. Wilson should recognize him as he isn't even in some kind of costume. He's just sitting there looking like Michael G. Wilson.

Sounds good to me. Glad its not as big a cameo as he had in films like Casino Royale and Die Another Day.

Yes, it's a very subtle one, despite the camera lingering on him for quite some time!

Because that one is so fleeting perhaps he's also elsewhere in the movie. No inside info here, just a suggestion.

Hope not. The more difficult to find the cameo, the better. :(

It's kind of like Where's Wally, isn't it? But instead, it's a case of Where's Wilson?

Does he have any legs? He's always sat down in his cameos.

I believe in the Quantum Of Solace draft I have, he plays Razell Spontiff, a Lithuanian member of Greene Planet (the full backstory is the in original John Gardner novella). Originally, Spontiff was supposed to have got involved with the fight with Bond and Slate (the script notes say "like the Saida fight in MWGG") but I think it was re-written after MGW sprained his shoulder while training with stuntman Gary Powell for the scene. I believe Craig (and many other crew members including a Best Boy who was actually working on another scene) actually hit Wilson several times during rehearsals as the stunt team were selling tickets to impersonate a stuntman just to hit the producer*

*this is utter nonsense - completely made up

Yes, it was very easy to spot him. There were only two other people in the room. I was a little amazed that it was that easy!

It took longer for me to notice him in Goldeneye. But then again, I haven't always known how the producers looked like :(

I noticed the guy with the paper - thinking 'hey there's another white guy in that hotel' - but I didn't catch it was Wilson.

Well, blast! I've seen it twice now and didn't even notice him. I was probably thinking of Olga and too distacted to praise Mickey G.'s Oscar worthy performance.
I guess I'll catch another showing.............

So how come Bond didn't recognize the former Montenegro chief of police sitting right there in the hotel lobby?

Yes, he also has a speaking role in Moonraker, and he's the first voice we hear in Licence to Kill.

No, I don't think he speaks in GE. He justs sits with the other Ruskies. In TND , yes he speaks on the giant screen.
And yes, I noticed him and pointed him out to wifey during the movie.
