As quite a few threads say, there's been a lot of Brozza hate going on around here. Personally, I don't hate him and for most people I know, Brozza IS James Bond, even though Danny took over 2 years ago. Anyway, to counter the Brozza hate, I thought of this thread: let us list Brozza's 5 best moments as 007. Or your 5 favourite Brozza Bond moments. Here are mine, not in any order:

1) His scenes with Elektra King (TWINE)
2) His shooting of Elektra (TWINE)
3) Drinking vodka in his room (TND)
4) Swaggering into the hotel wearing rags & with that beard-also the scenes which lead up to it (DAD)
5) The spa scene (GoldenEye)

Honourable mentions:
Barking orders at Natalya (GoldenEye)

I love this exchange of words with Gustav Graves in DAD. Dunno why, but I love the way Brozza says this line:
GG: "Mr Bond. Have we met before?"
007: "If we had, I would have remembered."

So what are your favourite Brozza Bond moments?

Well I thought The Brosnan Films ( not brosnan himself ) were quite bad the last three especially but Goldeneye was something else, that was a brilliant movie, TND was OK and TWINE was about the same, DAD was entertaining yet verry far fetched, much like moonraker in the sense that it was a good movie but too far fetched to be great!

I agree:

1) His scenes with Elektra King (TWINE)
2) His shooting of Elektra (TWINE) "I never miss..."
3) Drinking vodka in his room (TND)
4) Swaggering into the hotel wearing rags & with that beard-also the scenes which lead up to it (DAD)
5) The spa scene (GoldenEye)
6) The tank in St.Petersburg scene (with adjusting his tie) (GE)
7) The sword fight with Graves (DAD)

And I´m not ashamed to say that I enjoyed Brosnan as Bond very much.
Just as I enjoy Craig, Dalton, Moore and Connery - not so much Lazenby.

The moments when he got to be cold, as opposed to light-hearted. Killing Elektra, holding the bag of morphine to wake Zao up, telling Trevalyan that Natalia meant nothing to him while she was in the room, and so on. Brosnan could do cold quite well, I think; it's just a shame he never really got to do it that often.

1. "Oh, I'm sure they're perfectly rounded."
2. "No, no no. No more foreplay."
3. "Your time will come."
4. "It appears we share the same paaaasions."
5. My all time favourite is his facial expression .." Did I get to close...for comfort." "Yesss."

I agree with all the above, and will add the Cuba beach scene in GE (yeah, I know it's controversial, but I rather like it :(). The scenes with Elektra King rock (Sophie Marceau rocks in TWINE, really). The "No, no, no. No more foreplay" part of the GE sauna scene is great too. The GE bungee jump was great.

Maybe a bit side-tracked, but is there something more stupid than the " Did I get to close...for comfort?" line by Paris Carver? I mean, the scene is great, but imagine the situation in real life: a man miserably chucks his girlfriend, without even saying goodbye, the "Well, I'm going to get a pack of cigarettes, I'll be back in five..." style. Some years later, he bumps into her, and the silly girlfriend kindly gives him the way out, suggesting he left in fact because he loved her toooooooo much, with this stupid question "Did I get to close...for comfort?". So, what can the man say then?
answer A: "No, it's just that I'm a cold hearted bastard."
answer B: "No, it's just that I couldn't stand your silly questions anymore."
anwser C: "Yesss."

I can easily picture Craig delivering answer A.

It's hard to pick just five so I did it by categories. In chronological order they are:

ACTION:
1. The bungee jump off the dam in GoldenEye.
2. The tank chase in GoldenEye.
3. The all-out brawl with Trevelyan in GoldenEye.
4. His one-man assault on the terrorist arms bazaar in Tomorrow Never Dies.
5. His kicking the dropped epee directly at the camera (very cool) and the ensuing brutal sword fight with Moon/Graves in Die Another Day.
Honorable mention: The car park chase in Tomorrow Never Dies.

SCENES:
1. Getting up close and personal with Xenia in the spa in GoldenEye.
2. Drinking and waiting for Carver's men in his hotel room in Tomorrow Never Dies.
3. The encounter with Kaufman in Tomorrow Never Dies.
4. The final encounter with Elektra in The World Is Not Enough.
5. Sauntering into the hotel wet and bedraggled but still 007 in Die Another Day.
Honorable mention: Escaping the bunker while surrounded by Russian soldiers in GoldenEye. (Love that squeaky wheel.)

LINES:
1. "That depends on your definition of safe sex." (GoldenEye)
2. "No, no, no. No more foreplay." (GoldenEye)
3. "She always did enjoy a good squeeze." (GoldenEye)
4. "Backseat driver." (Tomorrow Never Dies)
5. "Saved by the bell." (Die Another Day)
Honorable mention: "Me too." (Tomorrow Never Dies) / "See you back at the lodge." (The World Is Not Enough)

His best moments are in GE and TND. One scene I do like in particular is him drinking vodka after vodka in his hotel room in TND.

I agree. There is just something about that scene that is ultra cool. Probably my favorite 'Brosnan as Bond' scene in the entire series.

4. 'Oh dear!'
5. I think we've met! (TND)
6. She always enjoyed a good squeeze

Scenes:

1. Vs. Trevelyan

One of my favourite scenes is when he discovers that Paris Carver is dead in TND. You can really see that he's saddened by her death and that he potentially caused it. I can't see Sean Connery playing that scene. Much the same way I can't see 'I'm so f--ing cool' Connery climb into the running shower and comfort Vesper in Casino Royale.

While I love Brosnan as Bond, I must re-evaluate my opinion on him after seeing QOS yesterday and directly afterwards DAD.

I guess, Brosnan´s forte was what Moore´s forte was: the light humor. His acting in action scenes, compared to Connery and Craig´s action, is (at least in DAD) rather forced and not as convincing.

1. Fight with Alec at the end of GE.

2. Assault on stealth boat in TND

3. Near the end of TND with the huge saw and Elliot Carver "GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!" *slices Carver's head off

4. "No, no ,no. no more foreplay

5. As stated before the rather cold-hearted scenes in his Bond films.

I say without shame that Pierce was my favorite Bond of all time right up until Craig came along, those two are at the top of my list for the best JB of all time. i remember being so pissed when he was dropped as Bond. I would've loved to see how he did with the wonderful situation that Craig was given in CR.

The PTS in TWINE was Pierce's best moment as Bond IMHO. He looks tougher than ever. I wish we had seen more of this Bond in Brosnan.

I love Bond arguing with Mischkin in Goldeneye, and it's a shame that Natalya interrupts them with her "Boys with toys" line because it was shaping up to be a fiery argument.

My favorite Brosnan scene is in DAD where he walks in the hotel in Hong Kong a bit "underdressed" w/ the beard, chest hanging out, and the hotel manager(Mr.Chang) barks "Open the presidential suite!".

While I usually find Brosnan to be lacking in the drama dept, I think the scene with Dr. Kauffman is his best scene out of his 4 movies.

Bond breaking in the 'The tomorrow'-building. Especially the sequence where he's searching for the save (and finding it). Pierce, the music, the cinematography: it all comes together beautifully.

- The way he frees himself and Natalya from the chopper-trap (by desperately banging his head to push the button);

- His fight with Alec (a raw fight that could have used better directing, but quite well choreographed nonetheless);

- All his moments with M (in all movies);

- He has my favourite chemistry with Moneypenny (although the innuendo could be a bit too much on occasions);

- His drinking in TND;

- His confrontation with Dr. Kaufmann is a classic IMHO;

- His slick moves in the Bilbao scene of TWINE (and at the casino);

Okay, that's seven, but I find them all worthy to add.

I'm in a serious Brosnan mood right now, so this thread is right up my alley. :(

ACTION:
1. The car battle in Die Another Day. He's the only Bond who could make it seem cool, while still retaining the right amount of smugness about the whole silly situation. Moore would have camped it up to the max, Connery and Dalton would have seemed awkward and uncomfortable and Lazenby and Craig would have been in the wrong film.
2. The one-man-army-assault on the arms bazaar in Tomorrow Never Dies
3. The sword-fight with graves.
4. Dealing with Zukovsky's guards in TWINE.
5. The motorbike chase in Tomorrow Never Dies

SCENES:
1. Ever last nuance of the Paris Carver hotel room scene. Perfect.
2. Trading places with Mr. Van Bierk (the killer 007 smile).
3. The opening shot of The World is Not Enough, with Brosnan's Bondian swagger.
4. Seducing Molly the nurse in TWINE.
5. The hilarious 'best bits' Q/R scene in Die Another Day. (Brosnan's expression as he sniffs Rosa Klebb's shoe from FRWL is priceless).

LINES:
1. "I've always been a fan of Chinese technology!" (Tomorrow Never Dies)
2. "Saved by the bell." (Die Another Day)
3. "I never miss." (The World is Not Enough)
4. "The World is not enough." (The World is Not Enough)
5. "Backseat driver." (Tomorrow Never Dies)
