Swordfish grossed more for what Halle showed in the film than how she was shown on the poster :). Oh and the film was relatively speaking an expensive big action dud in the U.S., it made less than $70m in the U.S. (about $146m worldwide), which wasn't bad considering it was awful and was critically panned.

As for her being prominant, well in TWINE in the International poster both Denise and Sophie bookend Brosnan and are featured on the poster, even in the huge Brosnan head U.S. poster they're both equally featured in the foreground. Ditto previous posters for TND and GE. What makes these prototypes strange is the complete banishment of Rosamund to the outer edges with the villains so it makes it look like there is only one Bond girl. Halle holding the gun up side by side is what makes it look like a buddy flick.

MBE.. I tried to Private Message you, did you get it? Do you have them blocked? I wanted to tell you something.

Isn't that the poster on the official site? I do like it a bit better.

Q Fan, sorry I didn't see a new private message, probably b/c I'm horrible at checking, I usually go straight to Today's posts w/o scrolling. I'll go look. :) Ah checked and thanks for the information!

Holy schnikes, what movie was I thinking of then?? Either way I did actually dig SWORDFISH for what it was worth. Man that is going to nag me at work now. What movie was that?!

I think the final poster will have Bond and Jinx as the main characters in the middle, with Frost and Graves a bit smaller and possibly faded out - while placed slightly more to the side, then smaller still would be M, Robinson (?) and Zao. Then there would probably be pics of the Ice Palace, car chase and surfing sequence (maybe even hovercraft sequence) as added things in the background, covering the final bits of space (imaging TWINE poster but with the characters from this and sequences from DAD too).

I don't have so much of a problem with the prominence of Halle, but it needs to be balanced with Rosamund or something else. The poster looks like it's missing something and it seems that the perfect way to make it all balance out would be to have Bond in front with Jinx and Frost pointing their guns in opposite directions in the background.

Hope you all don't mind if I take up this point here: http://forums.comman...=&threadid=5078
I think it's worth its own thread.

Pleasingly, in a full page colour ad for DAD in my local paper(The Pierce and Halle teaser), there was the tag-line 'Biggest Bond of All' or something similar. It made me smile- nice'n'cheesy.

Amendment- just checked the ad in empire: the tag(ish) line is:
'GET READY FOR THE BIGGEST BOND EVER!'. Nice!

It seems that the marketing campaign for DIE ANOTHER DAY is finally underway and the global masses are being prepared for a new Bond film. For us, though, there have already been many months of anticipation, and many users of this site have expressed their disappointment with various aspects: the Madonna track, the posters, the trailers....
I hope that all this doesn't foreshadow a final crushing disappointment with the film itself. If so, the postings on this site towards the end of next month sure ain't gonna make for pleasant reading.

Well- it would be your own fault for building it up so much, wouldn't it? Everyone here is far too critical of some quite fun movies.
