Video interview with the newest Bond girl

It's really nice to finally see her in the flesh, for some reason she reminds me of Eva Green!

Sounds like Forrester.

Quite interesting actually. I could of sworn I heard someone else call him 'Forrester' earlier this week.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Craig from the ITN interview.

BTW, that interviewer in the above video gets on my nerves. I picture her standing there chewing gum and blowing bubbles. Sounds like Paris Hilton.

His coworkers can't even pronounce his name....that's really sad. :(

Only if George Lucas had a difficult name to pronounce...he deserves that kind of treatment, not Forster, which is by the way, a truly nice guy

Maybe that's because he's from Germany?

But I think he's got a very universal name, that you can pronounce in almost every language without big problems.

He was born in Germany, but he is from a German-speaking town in Switzerland.....at least that's what he told my friend when we approached him....regardless, in America not all names are easy to pronounce, but we learn if we are told how to...I can't believe more than one coworker in QoS screwed that up.... :(

Actually, I've just watched the ITN footage again. Craig does say Forster, but the way he says it, to me anyway, sounds like Forrester.

He was born in Germany, but he is from a German-speaking town in Switzerland...

He was born in Germany near Ulm (in Bavaria). When he was 4 his family moved to Switzerland. That's why he speaks german with a swiss accent. His father was german. His mother is swiss.

But he is still a german citizen. In addition he became a swiss citizen on June 28th 2008. So now he's officially german and swiss.

Ok cool, cause he and my friend are from the same town and share the same accent. They bonded b/c of it and I got close to herr director thanks to that.

Once the movie comes out someone should make a "spot the homage" thread to see how many we can find, assuming there are a few.

Good idea. There's the near exact Goldfinger death of Fields, some grasping at straws Live and Let Die coffins falling off a truck scene, free falling that echoes Moonraker...

I think that she is saying it's more in the spirit of the 1960s James Bond movies in tone and style, not the cheap homages ala Die Another Day.

Well there are a number of, what you would call, "cheap homages" that we already know about...

Good idea. There's the near exact Goldfinger death of Fields, some grasping at straws Live and Let Die coffins falling off a truck scene, free falling that echoes Moonraker...

Just wondering if anyone knows if Bond fights someone mid-air ala Moonraker..?

No, I believe not. I think the scene is Bond and Camille escaping a plane with just one parachute between them.

Yes, that's the one. The scene could really work, or it could fall flat on its face and stand out for the wrong reasons. Though realistic in concept, I hope the CGI is kept to a minimum.

Notice, that as we start to attack Forster for all the rules he's breaking (at least I have), the more people start to try to defend him. For some reason, he reminds me of Lee Tamahori.

Here's some more.....
Bond goes rogue and heads to Latin America to avenge the death of a woman(LTK),
Villain wants to control a nation's important resource(U.S. Gold in GF, Bolivian water supply in QOS),
Main Bond girl wants revenge for the deaths of family members(FYEO),
Bond girl asks Bond if he lost a loved one(Elektra in TWINE)
Another Bond girl is local MI6 agent who gets involved with Bond and his mission(Paula in TB, Goodnight in TMWTGG, Manuela in MR),

and

Bond movie using deliberate homages to previous ones(DAD).

What does she actually do in the film? I have not heard anything about her character.
She comes across kinda cold and rude in this interview but maybe it is the annoying interviewer who clearly has not mastered microphone technique yet!

Painted Gold, SPOILER AHEAD:

As per Vauxhall. But Vauxhall is too much of a gentleman to screw things up for you so i'll have a go! :(

She is saved the same horrible fate as Vesper. She (according to some accounts) is a Canadian Intelligence girl in Moscow and is Yusef's latest target/'girlfriend'.

Cool, Can't wait to finally see the film. Then all the snippets of info I have heard will finally make some sense.
