GUN BARREL OPENS ON:

Bond has infiltrated a powerful terrorist cell on the borders of Pakistan and India which is under investigation from various agencies, joining them at an arms bazaar in the jungle where he participates in a sale of weapons to a white supremacist organisation based in Western Europe.

(The themetune is sung by Amy Winehouse, written by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson and is the first themetune of 'The Age of Craig' to both feature and share its title with the film.)

The terrorist cell want Bond to participate in terrorist activities in Hanoi on a world summit, which the Prime Minister will be attending. This is the point at which MI6 chooses to ally with the CIA to pull Bond out of the terrorist cell and shut the cell itself down.

All members of the cell, with the exception of its leader, are captured and Bond is placed on reserve and sent to an MOD post in the Falklands Islands to recuperate. However, he finds himself increasingly bored until watching a news report on the famous Luxembourger industralist, Jean-Claude Pire, during which he notices Pire meeting with the representative of the white supremacist organisation.

Bond asks M to be returned to the active list and she, eventually, does that but warns him that Pire is a respected philanthropist, industrialist and close friend of the Prime Minister.

Pire has travelled to Grozny, with a vast entourage from the worlds press that is easy for Bond to infiltrate, to open a building that serves double duty as medical centre and orphanage. Pire is am incredibly charismatic individual but Bond can't find it in himself to completely trust the man and therefore sets up an explosion that causes a roadblock which allows him to infiltrate Pire's hotelroom. It is there where Bond encounters Lenka Baisarov who claims to be a reporter with BBC Worldwide and who has the same suspicions of Pire.

Bond and Lenka have to work together to escape Pire's hotelroom and then the hotel itself which involves Bond revealing to Lenka that Bond isn't actually a reporter. Though Bond assures Lenka that he found nothing in the hotelroom, Bond has managed to use an enhanced cellphone to download and transmit the contents of Pire's laptop to MI6.

Bond returns to MI6 where Tanner has been having tech wizards look at all of the information transmitted by Bond. M walks in and slams the front cover of a paper down on the table - the headline declares that the body of a BBC journalist was found dead in Chechnya the day after Bond's misadventure in Grozny.

(in a black and white flashback, we see the abduction and murder of Lenka and then confirm, to the audience, that Pire was responsible for the events that we witnessed)

Tanner has managed to identify the identity of the man who represented the white supremacist organisation as Milos Zographos, a middleman for international terrorism, and has tracked the man down to Culebra where, it is believed, he frequents a brothel operated by a vampish French expatriate, Tiffy. Data from the computer reveals that millions of pounds were paid into an account in the Cayman Islands held by Zographos. Bond heads to Culebra where he masquerades as a potential customer of the brothel and, with the permission of Tiffy, interrogates a prostitute that Zographos leaves bloody and bruised. The prostitute points Bond towards one of the smaller islands that lie off the coast where a grand hotel is under construction.

Bond thanks Tiffy (who is clearly attracted to him) and given that Puerto Rico (and, therefore Culebra) is a territory of the United States alerts his friend, Felix Leiter, to his operation with the hope of help and assistance if he needs it.

Bond infiltrates the grand hotel by masquerading as the leader of the terrorist cell that he had been infiltrating and offers to work for Zographos as a Security Guard which results in him being able to witness a conference between rogue terrorist organisations that Zographos wants to unify as a cohesive whole under the orders of Pire.

He meets Grace Choi, a representative of a radical North Korean terrorist group who are offering up a set of MOAB for sale, whom he soon realises is actually a South Korean policewoman operating undercover on behalf of Interpol. However, Bonds investigation is jeopardised when the leader of the terrorist cell (whom Bond is impersonating and who the MOD thought was killed) is the last of the delegates to arrive at the hotel and proceeds to blow Bonds cover.

In the process of blowing Bonds cover, the leader of the terrorist cell manages to blow Grace's cover too and they must flee the island with dozens of terrorists on their trail and the knowledge that Pire is aware his operation will have now been rumbled.

Bond and Grace are captured and tortured by Zographos on his yacht. Bond escapes, kills the terrorist cell leader with his bare hands [Leader: You should have killed me in Hanoi when you had the chance. (Bond breaks his neck or cuts his throat) Bond: Yes, I should've.] and goes to rescue Grace who is also being tortured in a sadomasochistic manner by Zographos, who commits suicide when the US Fleet appears on the horizon and steams towards his yacht.

Bond and Grace lick their wounds but _never_ consumate their stormy relationship in a hotel room on the mainland whilst a joint-taskforce, overseen by Felix Leiter and Bill Tanner, scours the island for evidence of what the unified terrorist group planned to do with the MOAB they were buying from the radical Korean faction.

Bond makes connections in various pieces of the seemingly unconnected information that he learned over the course of his previous assignment (we glimpse this in a black and white semi-flashback in which he puts the pieces of Operation: Guy Fawkes together).

He realises that the target for the MOAB is London and that the method of conveying the bombs into the city will be the new Eurostar link to the refurbished St. Pancras.

The bomb will be on the train itself but it will only be detonated when it reaches the station where the trigger will be an extremely short range radio transmitter.

Bond and Grace split up to combat the threat with Grace heading direct to St. Pancras where she, along with the police, the army and several MOD agents, must track down the person carrying the short range radio transmitter.

The person carrying the short range radio transmitter is revealed to be Pire's sexually ambiguous bodyguard, Danyael. This discovery leads to a tense footchase through the train station, into the London underground and out into the streets of London where Grace confronts him in a cabin of the London Eye which results in him being shot and bleeding to death.

Simultaneous (and previous) to the footchase through London is Bond's boarding of the train by using a stolen hot-air balloon to board the train just before it enters a tunnel and the gas tanks exploding as they collide with the hillside sending out a fireball.

Bond searches the train and eventually discovers the MOAB but he must confront the thugs that Pire had sent to protect the bomb and ensure that it reached its destination.

Grace destroys the short range radio transmitter and makes her way back to St. Pancras in time for the train to pull in and Bond to kick the unconscious bodies of the two thugs out of the door, onto the platform.

Tanner supervises the transportation of the two thugs to MI6 and then the subsequent interrogation conducted by Bond and Grace to discover where Pire is hiding out. Both thugs eventually spill the beans that Pire is at his castle on a small tidal island off the coast of France.

Bond and Grace go to the castle where they confront Pire and then show incredible restraint when they hand him over to Tanner and the waiting authorities to be deported to England.

Later over a meal in the French town of Pontorson, Bond starts to put the moves on Grace and she immediately shrugs off his attention with the explanation that, not only does she have a partner but that partner is female. Grace Choi is a lesbian.

Bond sighs, defeated, and watches as Grace climbs into a French taxi and vanishes in the distance.

CREDITS ROLL

At the end of the credit sequence, we fade back in as a man in a suit walks through marble floored corridors until he enters a conference room where the men an women we saw gathered at the meeting in Culebra have gathered once again. A security guard aims a gun at the mans head but the man calmly raises his hand, lowers the gun, apologises for being late and informs them that he has the ability to make Britain crumble for thwarting them.
